The only thing that worries me is it might be a 'slight' experience with only 5 levels for each campaign...

That and I was utterly rubbish at the multiplayer :(

Seemed to be regularly hitting opponents but them not going down, only to get one shot killed in return :P

When do we think the reviews of this are going to hit the internets, want to make sure the singleplayer reviews are good before picking this up.

I only know of an 8,9 (unpublished yet and that's single player only).

I was rubbish too. I think you upgrade weapons and armor as you play, so that's why we get one shot killed and do no damage ourselves...which is crap.

I was a bit disappointed how murky it was. The enviroment wasn't much to look at and makes the now hard to see characters look just as murky against it.

I'm getting it as its Transformers, proper G1 Transformers. The single player levels will be ace based solely off the amount of detail and affection the guys have put in on the multiplayer. I have faith based off just that.

Also level up to lvl 3 (the max on the demo) and you'll be fine.

I don't have Live Gold! I'm not buying it for a quick bash on one demo for one day only (leaving my Xbox behind this weekend)... I'm not...

Know someone with access to Live and theyre local? If not out of luck sadly as the demo's 360 only. Could just get the game on release though, or wait till you come back and play it, full games not out for another 2 weeks :(

Making me very very happy this.

THe only problem I have with it isn't it's fault and is a problem with all online shooters is people jumping constantly while firing - sort of spoils the illusion of my most beloved childhood franchise when I see three blokes leaping around all the time like some kind of cyber-lamb. Not really very transformery behaviour and slightly ruined 'the vibe' for me. However it's not the games fault i'm just being pedantic. Think it looks stupid when you've got soliders doing it in Modern Warfare etc as well, but it particularly galled me with this - as otherwise it lets me be a transformer - which truth to tell is all i've ever really wanted in life.

I managed to borrow my brother's Xbox when he went to work.

This game, in a word: SWEET!

Massive smile whilst playing, can't wait to see what the single player is like. Pre-ordered!

Oh I'm utterly useless at it, of course. Ha :D

No. Proper "transformery" behaviour was to wrestle when they all have perfectly good guns attached to their arms.

No Jazz though, damnit. I'll make do with Ratchet :)

Where are people pre-ordering from? I've gone for Shopto with their Starscream figure :D

Edit: Balls! Amazon have Jazz? Nooo, what do I do?! Wait - there's no mention of him on their site? Ben where did you get that from?

I'm not a huge Transformers fan, but this game is good from what I've played of the multiplayer demo on the 360. As sprite mentioned, it left a smile on my face. Took a while to get the hang of everything and to find a game without lag. Good fun though.

I didn't have any lag issues. I needed to restart my router first though as I wasn't connecting to any games, but after I did that I got into three on the trot.

Very, very pick-up-and-playable, the only thing I needed to look up was how to transform.

I'll be getting it on the PS3 myself, hope it runs as nicely as the Xbox version. I'm so thrilled. I fell in love with Uncharted 2's multiplayer (which is also third-person) and this just has the same feeling about it though obviously vastly different, but it's fucking TRANSFORMERS!!! YEAH!! :)

Only after emptying all your blasters because you can't aim despite having augmented optic sensors. :)

People are assuming he's a freebie as the second 'picture' of the game on the WFC 360(at least) item page is of him...

However the USA freebie is the Demolisher code and that has a very definite box on the relevent amazon.com page, stating that you get him as a freebie, the amazon.uk one had nothing like that when I checked.. so I wouldn't put any faith in thinking you'd get him when buying from Amazon..

Amazon.uk

EDIT - the MAIN boxart on the amazon.UK site says you get Jazz on it.. still not confirmation though...

We didn't have any lag issues once I started hosting. I think it was the people I was playing with. For anyone wondering how to invite friends to a game, you have to get into a game first (either join an existing match or start a new one). The option to invite friends to a pre-game lobby is locked in the demo.

I went with the control configuration #2, as I despise any major function being on the thumbstick click. That form of control should be abolished completely.

I don't think this will have a cover system like Uncharted though. You're supposed to use your transformation to get out of trouble from what I've read/seen.

Oh yeah, of course. I'd forgotten about the cover thing :)

This is why Shockwave rules and so many like him:

2009-12-10-Favorite-Cover-1.jpg

He's a giant superbastard raygun who beats up dinosaurs in his spare time. He beat Megatron like a red-headed stepchild and decapitated Optimus Prime. He's cool, calm and collected. He doesn't whine, he doesn't pout, he just gets on with the business of fucking people's shit up in the most efficient manner possible.

And purple! Oh I looooooooove purple.

I might just go with coolshop for £29.99. I think Game, The Hut, or HMV may have Shockwave though.

No mention of Game doing any pre-order deals with this on their website, so doubtful Shockers will be with them.

PS3?!? Get it on the 360 like everyone else! :P

Seeing as how Play have Demolisher, then its probably safe to say Amazon have Jazz just from the pics of the case. Its wierd they havent mentioned it anywhere though.

Shockwave is the man. When he isnt leading the Decepticons in the future he's mind controlling a Megatron clone so as to kill Cyclonus in the present, all while closing unstable time vortexes while he's at it.

Shame he went nuts after finding out Deaths Head kills him in the future really.

If Amazon have Jazz then I'm pre-ordering from the bastards. Gutted I can't get Shockers too though, him, Jazz and Starscream were always my favs.

Forgot to mention this, but you'll be pleased to know Australians get both Jazz and Shockwave as pre-order deals.....
