I played the demo of castle crashers but didn't really take to it. It looks and feels like a cheap flash game. Then again, i've never liked scrolling beat 'em ups really. Except when walking rigidly forward as a white tshirt muscle man in torn jeans, sticking out as torso with the exact dimensions of Mr Rush. It's pretty much perfect 90's homoerotic.

I bought monkey island at full price and obsessed my way through it. I'm not sure if I regret doing it, because I knew the game inside out and got the 200gp within 5 hours of play. And i'll no doubt never play it again. Still, it's a lovely little remake, and it makes me obsess even harder than I usually do over the throught of a Grim Fandango XBLA release.

I bought Shadow Complex for 800 the other day but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. Enjoyed the demo despite some utterly ridiculous dialogue. I really don't think i'll ever dislike a game with a metroidvania template. All I need now is one to properly capture Super Metroid's perfect atmosphere of solitude. Shadow Of The Colussus is the only game that came close atmosphere wise, but it failed entirely on the 'provide-me-with-a-big-blue-map-to-fill-in' factor.

Has anyone got that 0 Day Attack on Earth thing yet? Just started downloading the trial, but wondered if anyone had picked up the full game...

I played the trial and found it appaling. It's a twin stick shooter and for some reason the developers decided that the shots you fire only go as far as around 2 centimeters from your craft. So you practically have to be right up in the face of the enemies when you want to hit anything and rely on the radar to see the enemies way before you want to hit them. I found it awful.

It just doesn't work and I deleted it after 2-3 minutes.

Agreed. A shit twin stick shooter not even worth trying.

Just checked and all the DLC is still 800 points. Not sure if it has to get past a certain time before it switches to the cheaper price.

Hope it changes soon. I want to get Point Lookout.

They've all been based on USA timings apparently, so wait until a sensible time in the morning + 5 hours.

I take it I'm a small minority of people who's bought the GOTY versions of Fallout 3 and Oblivion, ripped the DLC to the HDD and traded down to the normal versions then?

Are The Pitt and Mothership Zeta worth picking up at that price? I've already got Anchorage, which wasn't great, and Broken Steel. Point Lookout was reviewed favourably but those two sounded more along the lines of Anchorage.

The Pitt is brilliant, leagues ahead of Anchorage and Broken Steel

The Pitt is far more interesting and involving than Anchorage; it's the DLC that feels most in keeping with the main game, grimy morality and all. Zeta's very linear and a bit dull after a while, but has a certain quirky charm and novelty value with quite a nice (albeit somewhat fluffed) payoff. They're both better than Anchorage.
