Like eBay you mean?

You can buy points off of eBay and have the code emailed to you in a matter of minutes.

Yeah, I've done it before for US points but almost always paid over the odds making any savings negligible.

If anyone's buying BF1943 today anyway, you can also download the two bits of Mass Effect DLC for free.

They're 400 points each, but EA are offering an 800 point refund to anyone that buys three EA items from Marketplace, with BF1943 included.

How do you go about doing that?

I have 1300 points at the moment so can't afford all three straight off.

I've no idea how it works, it doesn't really say. I just assume that if you buy three things, you'll get a code for 800 Microsoft points in about 6 weeks or something.

You'd need to be able to afford all three bits of content before January 5th though.

There are (scant) details if you go to the Games Marketplace section on your Xbox, and scroll across to the "get 800 points!" square before entering the Marketplace itself.

I was going to take advantage of the EA offer but needed to know something first. I have 4000 odd points on my US account as I snagged some cheap US points a few months back. I wonder if I'll be eligable for this deal if I buy three pieces of content of off the US marketplace and would US mass effect dlc work with a PAL game. Not sure anyone will be able to answer this definitively here.

Don't know about the EA offer, but all DLC should work across accounts. I've bought Halo maps and several Live arcade games on my US account and they work fine on my UK account - the only problem you may have is when your 360 breaks down.

While the DLC will be compatible with any account on the 360, the US DLC might not be compatible with the UK game. Compatibility varies between games so it's impossible to know unless someone's already taken the risk. This is his issue

As for the offer, I don't see why it wouldn't work, as long as the email address associated with your US account is still active (this assumes that points will be emailed) and obviously, they'll probably only be valid for a US account.
