I bought civ 3 about half an hour ago or something. I would have saved a pound if I'd waited til now.

There's an immense amount of stuff for sale.

it's frankly impossible to list. There IS something in there you'd be interested in if you have a PC capable of playing it.

Something about downloading games, eh?

cheap? developers making money? something about sales?

fuck knows how they do it.

I think for now, I'll take defense grid for a little more than a pound.

Yeah, I guess this should be in bargains or some shit but

extremely cheap games!

Superb, I'll be looking this up when I go home.

I think Valve are the only people doing DLC right, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo should really learn from them. Price reductions over time, sales, free weekends, all of these things really generate excitement and sales for the platform.

It's not available on its own (and never has been), but it comes free with basically any Half-Life 2 game.

There's also pretty much nothing to figure out with regard to using Steam. Make an account, then either use Paypal or a debit/credit card to pay for stuff, it downloads and installs automatically and you run things through Steam.

Microsoft have something on offer every week, this week being the excellent Shadow Complex and the whole countdown to New Year sale which is admitedly a pit pish at the moment. Sony have some excellent offers on PSN and PSP games at the moment. Nintendo, well they're too busy counting money to discount anything. Although they do have that whole Wii buddy thing where getting other people online bags you free points and eventually free access to all first party virtual console games.

I do agree that Steam does it better than anyone else though. I both love and hate the sales as I've got too many games to play. I still bought that Eidos pack though, the sucker that I am.

I hate using debit cards online (ive no CC) but i might make an exception. Outrun for a quid, thats some deal.
