The steam christmas sale has BEGUN

This really happening then? A Rllmuk SF Steam group for Street Fighter? If so, then I'll definitely buy SSFIV on Steam too, since I don't want to miss out on any epic multiplayer action and since my beloved 360 TE Stick also works on PC it would be a shame not to :(

Yeah dude, join in! It's kinda nice having SFIV on your hard drive being able to boot it up with a few clicks. And it signs into Live as well on your usual profile so you can still see and talk to all your xbox buddies, so should be as sweet with Super

By the way, Silent Hunter III is in the sale (not the daily one) for £2.49, and it's damn well worth getting. Just be aware it's sedate enough that you can increase the game speed not to x8, not to x32, but something ridiculous like x4096.

SH3 exemplifies that famous paraphrased misquote about war being large periods of boredom interspersed with short moments of terror and excitement. It's a great, great game and I'm looking forward to SH5 which is being released this year, it seems. German subs again, as opposed to the American subs in the Pacific of SH4, which didn't enthrall me as much.

Nice! Consider me convinced. Does the group already exist then? My Steam gamertag is Shogun for anyone who wants to add me btw.

Edit: I'm such a whore for anything Street Fighter :( I really hope the PS3 Rllmuk SF scene doesn't take off to any degree before I find myself buying that one too! :)

So many games I'm undecided on today.

Is Red alert 3 any good for someone who hasn't played an RTS in more than ten years and prefers building things to fighting things?

Does trine get any more interesting after the first level? The demo felt ok, but not interetsing enough for a whole game

counter strike... no wait i'm still not buying that.

First painkiller alright? I read it's a dumb repetitive shooter with hordes of enemies instead of puzzles, physics, or story. How satisfying are the weapons?

I think morrowinds getting bought though.

IIRC CS:S was free with HL2. How can you not have that either?

Not with the version I bought way back when. Bought an actual physical copy in a store though, and once activated on Steam I could download stuff like Lost Coast and HL2 Multiplayer and all kinds of free shit, but definitely not CS:S.

That's weird, because I bought it retail when it came out too, and I have CS:S which I sure never paid for separately.

I didn't buy it on day one though, and there have been different HL2 SKUs (yes! sku!) iirc. I do have have normal CS on my Steam list though, but I don't know if got that with HL1 GotY or with HL2... probably HL1.

I've added you (mr_woo/Al Benicio) even though I don't have Streetfighter :D

Nope just looked at the box. It says 'also includes CS:S' which was bought pretty much on release. How weird.

Okay, I managed to find my HL2 box and it says: "Half Life 2 Holiday 2006 Collection" and it comes with HL1:S, HL2, and HL2: Ep 1. Different SKUs, mystery solved

There were different packages, I remember them offering 'Gold' and 'Silver' SKUs on Steam when it first came out, both of which contained CS:S but it certainly wasn't included with HL2 by default.

Red Alert 3 is great. All three factions have different base building methods, so if you're not liking one switch it around. I like the Russians personally, the Allies feel too soft.
