Oh Sean - caught cheating already. What is it with you Oven boys? (Ventieeeeee - the lower your rating the cheaper you are for next season)

I can see other teams having to photgraph your teams ratings as well as their own and then posting said photo when the site does not match up.

Athletic ;) you

Sean, I think Simunic is better than the other CB in the air? Maybe better for me to go for the first ball and you cover behind? Just work on our back line and not being too adventurous and we should do okay this season as from what we saw last night offensively we look really rather good :)

I think throwins are always going to be a nightmare as well as it will always be the full back taking them regardless of where they are so if the opposition break its going to leave that side of the pitch wideopen.

I need to remember not to get to adventerous going forwards as well so if i go to far and anyone notices fell free to give me a verbal slap and tell me to get back.

I don't think the throw ins will prove to be a big problem as long as we ship the ball quickly. NEVER throw the ball back to a defender mainly because their control is utter rubbish and the likes of Holland, Portugal, Argentina all have insanely fast players to capitalise on this. Just a quick down the line ball to the right/left winger. I'm sure sith can prove to be a stand in while the wing backs take the throw in's.

Pete, yeah im pretty sure your guy is better in the air than mine alot of the time my man got sucked underneath the ball and couldn't control it. However, in the next practice we'll try it the other way round and i'll provide the cover.

Attacking can't say much more other than.. I won't be playing there all season by the looks of it with pompey, ventiee outsider proving more than enough. But i don't mind spending the entire season at CB if it is able to bring some happy thursdays in the future ;)

can i just add one thing.

corners! whoever ends up taking our corners can you wait for the defenders to get back (except for one, which should be pete) and the forwards to get up so that we have maxmium protection at the back, otherwise we will be prone to counterattacks and with the likes of portugal and argentina this will be a problem

Well played guys. Certainly not the goal rout that I expected based on Town's pre season form.

You guys deserved the win in the first game and like to feel the second game was a bit closer. Just one slight blight I felt was when one of your players did the old run around in front of the goalkeeper trying to block the kick. Don't want it to sound like sour grapes cause as I said you deserved the victory and nothing came of the incident but it just felt a bit 'cheap'.

Well done lads, after the first game I was a bit worried Town weren't gonna have a team for the 2nd game.

I apologise for the attempt to nick the ball off the goalkeeper. I honestly did not see the incident probably cause i was at the back and very rarely went off my screen. Cheers for the compliments though mate, you lot played well in the second and were unlucky not to make it even closer.

Trust me, your front players were monsters in that first game although the seven goals probably make that obvious. However until the sixth goal went in, I was still thinking we could have won it and by the seventh, I was resigned to getting the draw :coffee:

Yeah, nath was the one playing the striker/defensive mid role in practice but i think in Sith we have someone who knows exactly how to protect the back four and contribute with build up to the strikers. Lovely!

to be fair though, we were losing and it was a preseason game so i thought fuck it why not

but playing Sith as a DMF was such a good move and he was unbelieveable there over both the games, and he made a hell of a difference to the defence

i take the credit for that as i originally pencilled him in for that posistion :quote:

Edit: and sean you werent even in that game so how would you know?

Training - Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday.

When's best for you lot? I'm trying to get some practice in twice before thursday's games. Have a try out for people who may want to play in different positions. Only for practice at first see how it goes.

as much as i hate to admit it, i agree with hannay...

i would absolutely love to play anywhere but in defence, but me in LB is the only sensible option for the greater good of the team.

the team we have as it stands is very good, i say the only time we mix things around is the BAP cup, when most managers do it anyway

oh and im free anyday this week after 9 :D

I'm not just sticking with the same team for practice every time we play that would be boring and Jose doesn't do boring.

We can mix things up in training. For instance, putting myself up front giving Ventie or pompey a chance at the back. I said i'd change things up throughout the season to give people chances in different positions and i'll stick by it. However don't worry that come game night im going to say right Boobni, Hannay upfront Nath attacking mid etc. See how training goes first.
