It was in a press release which was talking about their upcoming console games, so hopefully it's a proper sequel. I can't understand what derailed it from the path it was on up to SSX3.

only reason i kept my gamecube was for ssx3 and riding down the entire mountain every now and then. I hope this new one is just as ace.

I'd also be happy with a HD remastered trilogy set, it's one of the few series where I really enjoy all three installments on their own merits. They can forget on tour and the soul-less blur though.

I can't wait for another SSX. I enjoyed the third installment a hell of a lot more than any other Snowboard game to date. Yes even Snowboard Kids and 1080 on the '64.

I too bought SSX at PS2 launch too and played pretty much every character and course to death. Fantastic game. I also loved 1080 avalanche on the GC but there hasn't been anything (other than blur which I didn't like at all) since.

The closest thing to SSX tricky since SSX tricky was Pure. Not snowboarding, but it played pretty much the same way.

Remember seeing that on a mate's launch machine on the day and being blown away. It was the only really impressive, next gen feeling game at the launch.

SSXBlur was bloody brilliant.

Probably the best use of a nunchuck of any Wii game, which made bombing down the mountain even more satisfying than SSX3.

And stringing together uber tricks goes down as one of my favourite moments in videogames.

The soundtrack was alright too.

Soundtrack is bad, the courses are lazy, the game somehow doesn't have the character of the PS2 versions. The worst bt though, is having to draw a fucking shape on the screen to do the uber tricks, its totally retarded.
