And season's over - it definately felt a little bit off this season. They had too much focus on case of the week, but at the same they always felt under developed (I think the finale is the only one with a "mystery" and it's piss poor/underbaked).

I actually liked the last two-parter, it helps that it was build towards throughout the season without compromising the individual episodes too much. It was certainly the most successful big plot in the series, but like PeteJ I think Archer just works a lot better as one-off episodes (which is why season 6 was such a winner for me). Not a bad season at all, but also not top tier.

Archer Vice was NOT a slog. You need to give up and watch another show

The four-parter at the end certainly was and Cheryl's country singer subplot felt forced (and I love that weirdo pyromaniac). It did have some good stuff, but just enough to fill a couple of episodes, not 13.

Is it over? I thought it was 13 eps.

I never really rewatched earlier seasons, but from memory I also think that's the best one. Maybe it's time to revisit the first three seasons, since it's been so long. I remember loving the first two and then gradually losing interest each season until 6 changed that trend.

3 episodes in and I'm finding this a bit...dull.

There's far too much exposition/plot in each one (and actually comparatively little plot movement since it's all overarching and long game) and so few jokes in there.

There's also so little of the group together playing (or terrorizing) each other...
