t.b.f. you seem to have confused T:TM with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. ^_^

Exactly, any Ghibli movie too.

I love TF:The movie though I mean I fucking love it and watch it once a year and its the greatest TV cartoon movie but fuck me they got so many things wrong as well, Danny and Wheelie?.DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!

I've considered on many, many occasions, getting some peeps together to stump up some cash, for a local showing. I think the QFT in Belfast will do a private showing for a fee. They've done projections of blu-rays in the past,(and DVD and laserdisc before that), so should be easy enough.

Optimus vs Megaton battle at the begining is fucking awesome!

Megatron must be stopped... no matter the cost.

STAN BUSH UNLEASHES THE MOTHERFUCKING ROCK FISTS OF DEATH.

For all its flaws (AND THE ABOVE IS NOT A FLAW), I still love the movie. As a 9-year-old though it practically drove me into fits of glee.

For me its when Stan Bush's Dare starts as Hot Rod opens up on the shuttle, etc.

And of coarse, Springer's "I've got better things to do tonight, than die!"

I've always loved Megatron's "You're an idiot, Starscream!!" Something which I'm sure he uttered many times in the series, but I just find this particular version hilarious, Megatron's tone is spot on.

I must also point out Prime's order to the Dinobots. He says: "Dinobots. Destroy Devastator!"

Note the term used, 'Destroy'. Not disable, cripple or maim, but fucking DESTROY!!! That's hardcore right there, no pissing about.

No one's mentioned my favourite line yet. After Starscream's tremulous, "Mm..Megatron...is that you?!"

"HERE'S A HINT!"

Starscream's hissing, crumbling death is sooo satisfying. And what a brilliant way to introduce how psychotically badass Galvatron is.

Some childhood dispatches: The Galvatron of the movie was so gorgeously designed that, when I saw the toy design I thought they'd made some sort of mass printing error. I still asked for the toy for Christmas, and almost cried at how crap it was. One toy that needs a 'Masterpiece' (or whatever) version.

I had the movie on VHS - bought for about £20 on release, I think, which in today's money is about £500 or something stupid. Our cheap player at the time chewed tapes, so once started I couldn't pause or stop the tape or it'd be wrecked. It happened once, on the exact moment Wheelie hits Grimlock on the nose with his catapult.

In the cinema, when you see Wheeljack etc. dead, I was genuinely shocked (I was 10) and a bit upset. In my games afterward, I'd 'kill off' characters (even Autobots) and they'd be 'out' for the day. They'd reappear in revisionist games afterwards, or alternate timelines/universes. I can't believe I'm not editor-in-chief at Marvel.

I was hoping for the Blu-Ray for Xmas but didn't get it. After a quick scan of the shopping sites it still seems to be fairly high in price. Not that that will stop me of course.

I got back into Transformers in early 2001, emerging from my futile teenage acceptance quest unsuccessful and in need of comfort and bought the DVD. To my surprise then (and now) I can quote pretty much word for word the opening 20 minutes. Which, it has to be said, is the best opening 20 minutes of film in CINEMA HISTORY!!!**

*I only half joke about this, please present some opposition - with examples - if you like.

It's the one moment, that without fail, still gives me tingles when I watch it.

And of coarse, Springer's "I've got better things to do tonight, than die!"

Springer was definitely one of the best new characters. Even as a kid I always felt that he should have had two swords for extra bad-assery.

One thing I didn't like about the film was the lack of Snarl. Perhaps it was because he was the only Dinobot I had as a kid (I desperately wanted the others along with Soundwave and Shockwave but never got them  ) but it always seemed strange to leave him out, especially as he did make a fleeting appearance.

I could get at least 5 non rllmuk mates to goto that!

Found the whole of the movie on Youtube. It never ever gets old and with a lot of kids movies being computer animated, it makes such a refreshing change and what other kids film will ever start out like a massacre ever again?

I remember this film causing a drastic change in the plot of G.I. Joe: The Movie all because the death of Optimus Prime upset so many kids.

Same collection I've got although I owned both the original release VHS and the later re-released version when my first copy was worn out.

I have the VHS Special Edition (the one with the Japanese episode at the beginning) and the remastered DVD (the last of many I think) that came in a tin box (the design of which was slightly influenced by the live-action Transformers movie).
