Trackmania - Wii

general lazyness of "I can't be bothered typing in some Friends codes" or "I can't be bothered getting out of my sofa to change discs". I don't know if those two points alone are big USPs in getting it to another platform?

I don't really come into discussion enough to see it, but I can see how it might get annoying. To be honest though, it might be laziness, but the friend code thing puts me off playing my wii online at all. It's a pain in the hole.

I completely agree with you how Nintendo implemented their friends code system- I suppose it was some kind of attempt to stop random paedos and/or priests hooking with young, nubile boy-men. You know, like that chatroulette thing that everyone is going on about.

In saying that, not all games use the Nintendo system (EAs games don't, for example) so maybe they'll use a different system for this. Let's hope so as it would really help it, especially with track sharing/downloading.

They couldn't do it on the 360 without ditching the track sharing, Microsoft are dicks about people sharing custom content. That's why Trials only let you share with friends and not upload for anyone to see.

Really? What about the custom maps in Far Cry 2?

And how come it looks worse than Trackmania Sunrise? The DS version was shite, I don't hold out massive hopes for this either. The PC games were (are they still?) great because of the masses of online players and the content they produced, if that falters here - and it's hardly going to be much of a seller, is it - then I don't see much point in it.
