I made the mistake of trying to set up a blaze farm before. Burnt the house down. Schoolboy error!

Is it just me or does anyone else feel wrong going in someone else's house? I went in the workshop buy made sure I didn't sleep in Nicky's bed..

fire spreading is disabled after the great "fangorn forest" incident of our first MC server.

as is creeper and enderman world destruction, the creepers will still explode and hurt/kill you, but will not damage the world.

Oh should note to anyone starting out on the RLLMUK server in my basement there is a couple of machines that double ingots from ore so if you are looking to double resources early on to get on your feet feel free to use it. Just pop your ore into the Enrichment Chamber and in chest at end you will see ingots appear.

I still have to hook up generator properly with a water pump so apologies if it is out of power, just stick a bucket of water or two in the electrolytic seperator ;)

Ah well that's cool. I'm assuming PS4 is the same. It's a lovely version, only let down at the moment by not yet being able to import worlds from PS3, and not allowing you to use a Vita as an extra controller. Promised the missus we could play it last night. On the other hand she is now okaying the purchase of another controller. Will wait for the white ones :)

Is the Vita version still in development? I thought it was supposed to be released alongside the next current gen versions?

Yes last update I saw said it was currently in "bug fixing" and was taking a little longer than the others .. no eta yet but then this dropped with very little notice.

Ah well that's cool. I'm assuming PS4 is the same. It's a lovely version, only let down at the moment by not yet being able to import worlds from PS3, and not allowing you to use a Vita as an extra controller. Promised the missus we could play it last night. On the other hand she is now okaying the purchase of another controller. Will wait for the white ones :)

you can import 360 saves, but they wont expand yet apparently that is to come!

Ah OK, I assume it'll be available relatively quickly then. Good. I want a portable version that isn't held back by shitty touchscreen-only controls.

If you have a PS4, remote play works fantastically well. Feels native.

I don't have a PS4 yet and mainly play the Vita when I'm not at home so remote play isn't an option right now.

Actually latest I can find on vita is this quote... however it was very playable recently this month at gamescom I think so it cant be far away


When the Vita version came up in the comments, SCEA's Brian Silva said: "Mojang and 4J are working hard on it. We hope to update you soon." He also once again confirmed that the PS3 and Vita versions of Minecraft are cross-buy, so existing PS3 players will automatically have access to the Vita version once it's out.

Man its been a while since I poked my head into Minecraft, but my Rift is due for delivery today so I'm keen to give it a go again! Any chance I can join in on the PC server you guys are playing on? I may not do much building, but I'd love to have a wander about in VR! :)

Yeah, no worries. If you can get the 1.6.4 mod working for it let me know. Follow the instructions to download the pack in this thread a page or so back and pm me your mc name. I got as far as getting optifine working in the patch last night so if you get stuck there incan help with that part.

Hey peoples. The servers back up - just had to reenable Mystcraft.

Basically all quarries, Digital Miners etc are not allowed on the overworld (where we all live) BOOO i hear you say.

But from the Stargate, there'll be a new Dimension to warp to, which will be all for mining, so you can knock yourselves out there. Stuff can be piped back by making a pair of Ender Chests, or even looking into Tesseracts. if you're unsure what the fuck im going on about, just ask.

I will, but I'm still waiting for some more worthwhile exclusives and maybe a nice discounted and/or generous bundle. Hopefully around Christmas or something after I'm all done moving/rebuilding/renovating houses and managed to recover from the financial implications.

I spent ages building up resources etc to get to having an autonomous activator/sieve setup instead of going the quarry route, only to get there and find that it does not work in the yogcast pack because it's disabled in config.

It's dented my enthusiasm somewhat.

also im going to leave you a chest with alternative pipes and tanks to use. openblocks tanks are known to cause lag, and fluiducts arent great either. they've been on the "heavily discouraged" list on the last 2 servers ive been on

drums are preferred yeah, ive dropped you off a 32k portable tank in the meantime as thats how much storage you had of lava. Ender IO conduits are best. They bundle together to save space, and you can right click their connector to say whether they are going to input or output. Theres one for redstone, power, items and liquids. the items one is really expensive, so we'll be ignoring that one for now.

i've dropped you off a load of Fluid Conduits, Basic Energy Conduits and for item transportation theres some Transfer Nodes and pipes. (transfer nodes can be upgraded to make them faster)

Ive placed one or two of the pipes down to show you how the configs work,

just trying to find the config change now.

mekanism pipes are fine, just stay away from openblocks tanks - they case mental tick updates due to the smootheness that they fill. and stay away from Thermal Expansion ducts.

EnderIO is what everyone should be trying to use for connecting stuff up.
