Smaller "Slim" 360 - Now official

Get me one that doesn't RROD and you could package it up in the ugliest case imaginable but as long as it's smaller I'd still buy one to replace my current noisy piece of crap 360.

Look at the PS2 slim, that thing looks like it cost about £10 to throw together. Hideous.

I refuse to believe that Microsoft would go from the Xbox 360's design to that monstrosity when attempting to court a new audience. And the YouTube version of the ad just doesn't look right somehow. It looks more like an old Newgrounds animation, in a way I can't put my finger on.

Oh, Christ, it's hosted by a company owned by Microsoft.

It looks awful, but that's because I'm imagining it as the same size as the original, which is quite understandable when you look at the disc drive.

At the moment I'd say the Elite looks better, but I'll be willing to overlook its ugly face if it's got built-in WiFi and doesn't roar.

Apart from integrated Wifi, I can't see the point of the new 360. It looks shite, and appears to be the same size as the old one.

Yeah if you compare it's size to the 360 logo it does look about the same....

No RROD, better heat transfer, more quiet, integrated PSU (Maybe), boost in sales as people replace their old units.

Making it sexy would have been a nice bonus, that's for sure. It's not like they haven't been looking at the Wii for the past few years, one damn fine looking machine.

You mean like those Jaspers? :P

They've taken the modders approach to ventlation and drilled a load of holes in the side of it. You get to keep your warranty now though. Phew!

I can't believe it's taken them this long to redesign, it must've cost more to repair and ship all the broken ones than to design and roll out a new one.

It was already a new feature for the 360 (a faulty one at that).

Exactly! Then they can come out and say "We've already had the worlds best controller, now we are releasing the natural evolution of it. The worlds better best controller!"

The most ironic thing about the new design is that they obviously hope to finally jump on the Wii bandwagon with it and Kinect. I don't know about your parents but there's no way mine would let that monstrosity of geeky ugliness anywhere near their living room. Lady Gaga or no Lady Gaga, it's just not going to happen.

Gash? Fucking shit more like. It looks even worse then the xbox1, and more like one of those eyesores pc cases that Alienware tend to make.

Yeah, I don't think it's quite THIS bad:
