Anyone else been watching this?

It's by, and staring, Tom Hollander (In the Loop) and also stars Olivia Colman (Peep Show).

I've kind of been half watching it whilst falling asleep (it on past my bedtime), and it seems rather quite good. Sort of thing Goaty would probably hate, and find completey unfunny. So, you know, good, like.

There's a series catch-up on iPlayer.

Yeah it's pretty good. Not laugh out loud funny but very knowing. I grew up with a Grandfather who was a vicar and I think this knowledge certainly helps. If you know nothing of the Church I expect it's probably pretty shit. Tom Hollander is always watchable though.

I know nothing of the Church, but still think it's good.

We'll, I have no direct knowledge of it, but obviously absorbed some knowledge over the years from TV/school/the occasional wedding/etc...

Just watched the last episode. And I'm in bits. :(

Such a lovely show. Warm and thoughtful, with genuinely human characters. Genuinely one of the best things I've ever seen on television.

Glad to hear it's got a second series. Just superb.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm absolutely head over heels in love with Alex. I would take vows if it meant I could marry her.

For a six episode sitcom, there's been a disproportionate number of hairs on the back of the neck, oh my god this is next level television moments. You know, like the bit in the West Wing where Bartlett calls god a feckless thug.

The confrontation with Darren, the happy clappy evangelical. The slightly maniacal "wouldn't it be great to be a catholic priest" scene. Pretty much all of the last episode.
