BossSaru
Saw you guys on last night but your game was full, so I decided to get the MK3A1 Specialist assignment instead. After running around a couple of Ziba Tower games blasting anything that moved with flechette rounds I had all 80 kills, as well as a message reading "you are a fucking noob go kill your self!!!!!" I got banned from a server a few days ago because I killed the admin a few times when he was camping in my spawn waiting for our helicopter. There should be an achievement for being rage-banned. The best bit was that the server in question stated that spawn camping was forbidden.
kerraig UK
My god the end game pack is actually even better than Aftermath. So much carnage going on everywhere. CTF and bikes are genius editions to the game. My biggest prayer with BF4 is that they dont have to patch it 8 times to make it all work
little che
I bought endgame last night when it was finally released for all us proles who haven't got premium. Jumped straight into a rush game which immediately ended and a CTF on, is it Nalbandoan flats? I had no idea of what I was doing, or the layout of the map or anything. Any advice on which map or mode is best to start with with this particular map pack. Took me several days to get used to aftermath before I could hold my own. FishyFish
Nebadan Flats. Capture the Flag has a fairly simple layout on that map - US starts on the ridge next to the main road, and RUS start on the opposite ridge near the windfarm. Both teams have a small collection of buildings close to their spawn where their flags reside and where you need to bring the enemy flag. Central on the map is a large warehouse structure roughly halfway between the spawns / flags. It's probably the easiest map to get a grip of the layout as there's less foliage / hills etc. than the other maps and it's easy to get your bearings. As a downside, it's also easier to be seen. kerraig UK
I'd also say in CTF at the start, dont attack. Just sit back and observe and try to defend your flag
kerraig UK
God damn that was a horrible session! Shame cos we had 9 players on, but we just couldn't coordinate at all. Clusterfuck
KriessG
Hah it was chaos, strange how some nights it all clicks and some times it doesn't. Didn't help we were up against mega-player, I can't remember his name now, the guy with the trolling message in 20 languages on his profile. Fair play to the guy, he was pro. ComfySofa
map packs Back to Karkand or End Game. End Game has dirt bikes, great maps and CTF game mode. If you get End Game, do not, repeat, DO NOT play Air Superiority.
carlospie
I am raging with ea. Bought a new premium copy on ps3, but the code for online was invalid. Got it swapped, same problem. Spend hours on ea shit live chat and phone service and get a new pass, and it turns out it's for bf3 but not premium. Re contact ea, and they say they can't sort it and that I need to send it back again. unbelievable

T Pot
I'm not the greatest. Ill usually finish on around even k/d on AS, but i find it is a mode i can enjoy even by myself. Nothing fucks me off more than playing conquest with randoms and i get downed, medic ignores me. No ammo, support ignores me. Helicopter with two seats, pilot fucks off without a gunner. Helicopter with 5 seats, pilot runs into a tree on lift off. Three team mates shooting at a group of people, get killed by someone i didn't see because no one was tagging. you don't have to worry about any of that in AS. I think its the perfect mode to play alone when none of your mates are on. Also, cheers Kerraig. It was part of a Halloween costume (full grey gasmask, full body white chemical suit) a few years ago. Still have it somewhere.

Ha, you forgot: losing all the bases and no-one using mobile spawns, both your tanks in deployment fighting over the next chopper spawn, 6 static snipers on your team and not one of them tagging, getting out to repair your tank and the gunner drives it off into a mine mountain, and getting jeep-killed by your own reinforcements. I see what you mean about escaping all of that and taking to the skies, but I just tend to adopt a thick Jamacan accent for the rest of the round when it all gets too much. FishyFish
Or in CTF; You get in the AA Humvee / Vodnik, park it near your flag and proceed to take out choppers as well as defend your base using rockets. Then someone jumps in the drivers seat, takes it across the map, gets it locked by an enemy javelin, then abandons it with you still inside. The vehicle is destroyed and, because you're halfway across the map, someone has taken the flag from your now undefended base. I sometimes wish vehicles had door locks...

ComfySofa
Last nights games were excellent. That is all Agreed. I'd still love to get to the bottom of the "more is less" problem we seem to have when we get together on BF3. My recent K/D when solo ranges from 5/1 to 10/1 on average (I tank a lot) but playing alongside a bunch of you guys I'll usually get from 1/1 to 2/1 if I'm lucky. Personally I probably adopt a more back seat approach and defer to others when in a group, and I'm all alpha-male when solo, and we'd likely all agree that confidence and a pro-active approach goes hand-in-hand with winning. Also, I was considering if having more MUK players means there's less opportunity to fill a key role in the battle, e.g. best tank driver, best chopper pilot, best recon, but then maybe that's no different from having a team full of randoms. It's just dawned on me that there's a limited resource dynamic a work. A good K/D relies on kills (obviously) being readily available, and if someone (Kerraig) is doing a one-man-army dance then those kills are not available to anyone else. Those enemies have to respawn which takes time, and may well be Kerraiged again when they do. So my game goes off the boil, I'm out of the zone, and I start changing my game play looking for more risky kills I wouldn't normally go for. Apologies if everyone else has already reached this conclusion and it's a well known fact in FPS multiplayer games, but I've only just worked out that everything is Kerraig's fault. A weight has been lifted.
kerraig UK
The thing is though, is that I don't even really go for kills. I'm happy just repairing a chopper for half a round or laser painting on a tank. I think I'm a fairly team based player. I'll change class if people need ammo or stick with players if they need ressing. I find that if you play the role that is needed most at a given time you'll find yourself in the thick of it and get good scores most of the time. If you belligerently stick to one role because it's your favourite class you'll have huge chunks of a round where you have nothing to do
Sir Mullo
I completely agree with the above post. I couldnt give a rats ass If I have shitty K/D. Its all about the team in BF. The only thing I have problems with sometimes is how best to attack an objective, like kerraig says, attack is probably the best option and it was definitely the same when I played halo. Screw waiting around for them to come up on your base, get out and meet them head on, If you kill them, they spawn way back, If you kill them too close to the base they spawn on a team mate on your base, simple. I said it before, communication is the key, you need to be talking to each other, someone needs to say get a stinger in here fast, Javelin, what ever. I like to think that I'm a team player on these games. No space for dudes watching their K/D, unless of course its insanely one sided and you are just getting killed every two seconds (this is a problem I have lol) Sorry for logging the other night, my kid started crying for his daddy,

KriessG
I saw Kerraig on yesterday earlier for a bit but I've not seen any big groups playing recently.
