So this is the best game ever made then, right?

They could've made a standalone game out of the animation on Batman when he grapples onto a gargoyle and flips around it. And it would still be the best game ever made. Y'know?

lol, I got to the...

Titan/Joker/Hammer Guy/thugs/train things coming out of the walls boss fight in the second visit to the steel mill about three days ago

...and haven't touched the game since. Too much going on for my pea brain. I should put it back on really. I can feel the game slipping away from me, what with the arrival of Skyrim next week.

I was as surprised as debaser when, in the Nineties, I discovered that Hamill was doing voices for the animated series (among a cast of stars). "Oh", I thought, "so that's what happened to him". Rather good voice work, as it turned out. I don't think I even bothered looking up the actors until one day I thought "ooh, that sounds like David Warner".

Anyway, back to business. Who's done a successful Hanging Ledge Takedown while playing Batman? Where and how? Haven't seen one yet. Places where I think it should work, it doesn't.

I didn't know Mark Hamill was The Joker until I saw his name on the credtis when I completed Arkham Asylum  if you're not really into Batman and/or Star Wars trivia it's not really something you think about.

It's mentioned every third post in this thread.

Finally reached the last Riddler room. Bit odd, what was he hoping to achieve exactly?

My estimation of the game has gone up a bit (from a very high standpoint!) since starting NG+ and exploring every nook and cranny for the Riddler Trophies. May well be my GOTY depending on Skyrim.

You mean a reverse ledge takedown?

It's one of the medals on a Riddler challenge that takes place in the GCPD forensics lab. You have to be sitting on the fence by a ledge facing the drop below, and have a guard pass directly underneath you. So there really needs to be a doorway underneath you.

Don't think I have that challenge yet but I tried it in GCPD via Police Brutality and the doorway seems to be crucial, yes, although I got the Takedown prompt while crouching behind the barrier and Drop Attack while perched on the barrier. Thanks. In the WayneTech Predator moves list it is called a Hanging Ledge Takedown and says

"While standing on a ledge directly above an enemy, you can drop down and use your legs to silently choke the enemy unconscious."

Which is why I've been trying it out on ledges. There's a Knockout Smash option with this move as well.

Cheers!

Yeah I had a bit of trouble with it. This video shows someone playing as Robin doing it from the fence:

Didn't realise you could unlock a couple of tapes by talking to

Quincy Sharp. You find Vicki Vale harassing him

in the church.

Finished New Game+ today and I think i'm done with it for a while. Fantastic game, but I think I need a wee break. I'll go back to the challenges later on.

Got an extra 70s skin to trade. Looking to swap it for the Earth One skin. Drop us a PM if interested.

I just realised that this afternoon too! :)

I know it's been said on here before but the voice acting is first class and the riddler trophies unlocking additional tapes makes them a joy to track down.

Only just found out, after finishing the game, that you can zoom in by clicking Right stick

Now still have hundreds of Riddler trophies and tasks to do, they've done a sterling effort with the end-game here and the Riddler thugs are a nice idea, letting you regulate the difficulty. I usually only Interrogate when I'm completely stuck in finding the last trophy in the area. I also appreciate how different they've managed to make each of the trophies, with lots of ideas which are sometimes not repeated. You can tell the devs put quite a bit of time into these and it makes a big difference to the enjoyment of tracking them all down!

I'm also taking on gangs of thugs in the streets and rooftops for fun and for exp.

How many people have bothered with the Riddler challenge mode? I don't think I'll bother, though the Predator ones might be fun, in Arkham Asylum they were definitely worth a playthrough.

Catwoman spoilers:

Dissapointed in the Catwoman missions, although her agility is fun. The last "predator" challenge against Two Face was a real pain (on Hard, anyway).

They're fun but frustrating. :) If you're doing the latter Predator challenges be ready with your TV remote's mute button when you fail; the Riddler telling you he's "better than you" for the 50th time gets annoying, very very quickly.

Yeah playing the Story on Hard meant a lot of times where you'd fail repeatedly, and being unable to skip the characters taunting you when you die got tedious very quickly. I'm not sure if they did it to hide part of the reload sequence but it gets frustrating hearing the same lines over and over. I'd rather just be able to skip them, hit retry and have a longer loading time than get have to hear Penguin or Joker or Hatter wind me up again.
