Woot, New Game+ completed! Well I didn't do the Catwoman epilogue but I got the achievement so that's all that matters :) I have a few side quests to tidy up but then I think that's me done sadly - don't have the free time I had when AA was out to find everything/complete every challenge etc.

I had the Croc appearance on my first playthrough simply because, by accident, I went out the way I came in instead of press on during the sewers. Shit me right up as I thought I had a fight ahead of me that i wasn't looking forward to.

I finished the main quest last night, my buddy told me the ending was 'shiiiiit, mate', but I actually thought it quite poignant.

Bats carrying the body of his greatest enemy out of the theatre and all that. And then the little singsong over the credits. Good work.

What's the deal with the positive pregnancy test kit you find on your second visit to the Steel Mill? Might that be Talia's? Damian Wayne for Arkham 3? SHIT, SON. It's also a shame that Robin only had a brief cameo, I was hoping he'd pop back at the end to help out the Batmang. And what happened to Black Mask? I didn't see him at all, bar a character trophy I unlocked. Also: criminal non-use of the zeppelins floating over the city.

Got just under half the Riddler trophies left to do and one or two side missions to finish, not to mention the challenge maps. And new game plus! I bought the Nightwing add on the other day, he's awesome to play as. Can't wait for the Robin DLC! Although it's a shame you can't cut about the city as Nightwing.

To answer your questions:

the pregnancy tests is Harley's. Freaky thought, eh? :) As for Black Mask, l belive you see him at the start, where he's beaten up by other prisoners.

As for Robin, he's really great to play with. His triple takedowns are awesome.

The idea is that it's Harley's, backed up by her singing 'hush little baby' etc over the end credits

Aside from the start there's also a riddle and Story associated with him, time to 100% those Riddler trophies!

What do you get with the Nightwing DLC? Is it just challenge maps?

Had another hour last night mopping up Riddler trophies, and it struck me how much I love that robo-interference effect thing they've put on his voice this time round. In fact, I think I just bloody love the Riddler. He's awesome. I'd be quite interested to see a game where he's the main baddie, although I suspect he's rather too useful as the collectable side mission guy for that to ever happen.

Beaten up by guards not prisoners.

There's a left field theory that he IS the main baddie, which actually has some merit when you get some of the later audio logs and listen to how he pulled certain strings to get things the way he wanted them.

Pretty sure no one was ever heavily into mustachioed Italian plumbers but it never stopped Nintendo producing good games. The Batman games are excellent , I'd recommend playing Arkham Asylum first though as you'll get it cheap and it's easily one of the best games of the current generation. I can't offer much opinion on the new one (see below) but everyone here seems to be enjoying it.

PS Batman rocks, yes even more than Dangermouse but lets not Clippa the thread. He'll get into that in due time.

Here's a link about why the PC version is the best so easy on the negs

Also it's up on steam or something now, I'm not sure if this is news, just curious why the thread hasn't been invaded yet by the framerate brigade.

Arkham City question -

How do I get into the GCPD HQ, I'm having nothing but trouble with these electric shuttered doors. The first set I encountered and it took me 3 quits and returns before I figured out it was different buttons to open and shut, (yes I know it's there on the screen) now my next encounter with them and the bloody thing only opens a foot off the ground. Yes I am the world's worst detective.

It's a bizarre feature of many of the electric doors in this game that they only open a little bit. You can run and slide under them (and use the same move to slide into enemies etc).

So I've nearly done everything I'm going to do on this. I've clocked the normal game, completing all the side missions except one of the AR trials (that fucking one where you've got to dive down towards the tunnel near the Steel Mill. Gah.) And found all the Riddler trophies and riddles, and finished his stuff off.

New Game Plus is fucking brilliant. I completed from

the big fight in the Steel Mill, when Joker leaves you for dead

all the way up to

entering the Wonder Tower foundations

last night.

On New Game Plus in particular, those big fights full of normal or mildly-enhanced bad guys are so much better and more testing than the shitty boss fights.

I have really loved this.
