Worth it when END reaches 40, because it's the only item that increases your max stamina beyond the cap at that point.

I have 40 Endurance now but I'm wary of losing the flexibility of two rings slots.

If the game hadn't already formed me into a callus of determination I think The Duke's Archives/Crystal Cave might have broken me even more than Blighttown, I'm not exaggerating when I say I probably lost more souls and humanity there than the rest of the game combined. Of course you earn souls faster as you progress through the game, but it still stings, the humanity even more so.

It's a bit of a bastard of an area, that's for sure. Was also hugely popular for invasions when I was going through it which made it even more frustrating.

I got invaded for the first time since Darkroot Garden after being killed by Seath the Scaleless. I had just become human and kindled the bonfire, it didn't end well. That was the first 13 humanity and 80k souls lost...

So, eventually got through Sen's Palace and into Anor Londo. Took a detour through the Painted World of Ariamis and found this ridiculous armour set lol

I can't believe I almost missed the Painted World of Ariamis. It reminded me of a mini Undead Burg in its intricacy, and that amorphous blob is great for farming a few souls.

You can go straight to Pinwheel from the start of the game, though.

You can also jump down the Firelink well to all the goodies down there as soon as you get to it too but most newbies will miss it on first run as well.

God fucking dammit.  Stuck on  Ornstein & Smough.  If I do't get killed by the huge knights just before the boss fight I die at the boss fight after one hit.

Have summoned Solaire but he got killed by the giant knights.

Summoned humans and I died in the same places.  Got a message from one of them asking if I was a noob.  lol.   Gave me some nice tips and said don't worry about it.

I only have 15 humanities so am shitting it that I will run out of humanities soon.  Perhaps I should take on the bosses myself for a bit til lI learn the patterns before wasting summons.

 

As alway, all tips welcome.

Stick your summon sign down and help other players. Get the feel for the fight that way.

 

And don't summon anyone until you've cleared out the room before the fight first.

I think I'm coming up to the end of the game and want to start upgrading weapons for the various Achievements, suggestions?

OMG.   Why did no one mention that allowing yourself to be summoned into other peoples worlds was SO much fun.  I've just spent this evening helping others destroy O & S.   SO much easier when you both know what you're doing.  I didn't realise that you get given souls for helping out.  

Also also, how the hell do people manage to summon two people into their world?  I thought it was one at a time.  Awesome evening of helping other through a section I'm currently stuck on.  haha.

Yeah, the multiplayer is one of the greatest elements of the souls games, both helping and being invaded. Rllmuk don't seem to be that on board with it, for some reason.

I don't think that's strictly true, there are plenty of people who love a bit of jolly cooperation and I think you'd find the learning bosses by co-op tactic frequently recommended in any Souls thread.
