The F1 2010 Weekly Time Trial

Boozy The Clown

The last corner is a bitch and has invalidated many a lap.

Boozy, can you include next to each time posted whether a wheel or a pad was used? It would help to find whether one controller is actually better than the other.

I haven't had much of an opportunity to try the game out yet and for this weekend's TT we'll leave out ll the assists, gears, tyres and /pads/wheels stuff. I'll definately be including this info in the proper TTs. This weekend and probably next weeks is just for fun and to iron out the details.

RE: the cars - Use whatever cars you like, obviously tell us when you post times and if and when I figure out all the options we'll start to take the cars into consideration.

Again this TT is just for fun so enjoy it is the only rule being applied this weekend.

You can actually take Eau Rouge flat out with the pad, it doesn't penalise you for putting most of your car off the track (beyond the kerb is just track anyway), you do have that heart in mouth feeling though, despite never spinning there.

The long left hand sweeps after though, they always get me. I need to lift off every lap.

Meerman, just loaded your ghost... are you tweaking your car at all (not even sure if it's possible)? Your acceleration out of the first corner is so much quicker than me and I wondered if it's down to just the manual/automatic gears or something else.

I'm going to be firmly in the Lotus/Virgin/HRT division during our championship!

Not necessarily. Some people may have excellent TT scores because they're all alone on the track, there's no pressure from opponents, weather is always dry, and drivers always have the best tyres (that don't wear). However races are unpredictable. There are opponents that spin out in front of you causing slowdown or to detour off the racing line, opponents blocking, wet weather, pit stops, wear on tyres, have to use other tyres, and many other reasons why a race may not go well.
