So I've got XBox live

What are the best Live titles for a multiplayer novice like myself to start with. I guess I haven't got a wildly competitive streak so maybe something co-operative to start with?

I quite like FPS games, sports...not sure where to start really. Is Ghost Recon a good one to start with?

Rainbow Six 3, PGR2 and Links 2004 would be my current recommendations. (Yes I know PGR2 is neither a FPS or a sports title but it is an essential Xbox Live title)

I was playing PGR2 against a chap called spacedog on Monday night, I take it that wasn't you? If not, he's got your gamertag!

Quality race like, Volvo XC90s around the Nurburgring (sp?).

The bastard!! That's why I had to register as spacedog uk then.

Did I say I wasn't competitive? Scrub that..I'm gonna get the game and whip his arse. Oooerr, missus!

The main thing to realise is how most of us are a big herd of animals stampeding to the next big thing. PGR2 is the massive game at the moment (more popular than anything for ages on my friends list), with TopSpin and RS3 having a fair bit of play. Add us all to your friends list, and you'll see what we're playing.

I've just got hooked up to Live. Top Spin is the only Live game I've got right now, so I booted it up and tried it out...

...and got myself absolutely destroyed.

Is your character all built up?

don't even bother going on there unless you've spent all 14 stars. It's just no fun losing 3-0, 3-0 every time.

It took me about 10 or 15 games online before I got the hang of it, and now i love it online, even though I still get beat a lot.

It's all about positioning. Try and think a shot or two ahead, if you can.

But defo get those skills.
