So, played the demo of this - only the first part, which was solid and enjoyable with a good sense of bullet impact. It amused me that my all female team (which I chose on account of a shotgun for close range and a sniper for ranged, with me playing mid-range) immediately decided that I was a pervert and asked me if this was the case to my face. I replied yes for the hell of it, Faye called me an asshole and Rachael said something about me being awesome.

Needless to say, I like Rachael more.

Enjoyed playing through the demo on PS3, although I hope they can get a smoother framerate in the final version. The game is otherwise very slick, polished and pleasing to look at, much like Vanquish (but much slower paced, obv.).

Shooting the robots and seeing how their individual parts splinter into little pieces, and then seeing them crawling along the ground to get you ... it's pretty awesome. But the best part was when I walked past one of them and he grabbed my leg like the skeletal terminator grabs Sarah Connor at the end of T1. Except I had a big hand gun to defend myself so I just blew its head off :D

Basically Morrius it's a third person shooter by the Yakuza team set in Japan in a period where Japan has cut itself off from the world. The story revolves around robots and shooting a lot of tHem basically. Got it on rental and really looking forward to it. Thankfully I don't think it will be another Quantum Theory!

It's really not. Quantum Theory was that bad it made me have an existential crisis. This is a really solid, exciting third-person shooter with some interesting ideas that it doesn't quite make the most of.

I got my copy too,

So far, I think its an enjoyable game, but at first can be confusing. I need to go back to some of the stages and bosses, because I kept dying and making a mess out of it and I barely used the voice stuff. The game can be played as a gears clone, but has layers of complexity that can be put on top.

It will definately fail to impress people straight away IMO, a bit like Vanquish.

This game is utterly fucking brilliant. I'm really loving it, it's like a weird mix of japanese sensibilities and westernised shooting. It's a strange, wonderful mix which is quite unique in its own way. I'll write a lot more when I finish it (and I think I'm close to the end) but this shaping up to very much be a top 10 contender this year.
