Playstation Vita

This was my favourite thing to play on Vita. It looks astonishing and I had some incredible online matches. Full on sweaty hands tie breakers. For a fiver it's just ridiculous value.

I've only been playing a few days and I know what you mean, with the tie breakers! They can get very intense and it becomes a game of extreme concentration and nerve. Proper punch the air moments when you win a close game. I'm learning a lot in matches too at the moment, so even when I get battered by the more experienced players it still feels beneficial.

I'm not sure why it's so cheap at game.co.uk, but it's an essential purchase at that price. Easy to pick up and play, but deep enough to keep playing. The training mode really helps too. I haven't really touched the mini games, but I remember them being lots of fun on the dream cast version.

Maybe old news, but according to the PS blog, the Soul Sacrifice demo loses online multiplayer support once the full game is released. I was in two minds about whether or not to get it on day one as I thought about dabbling with the demo whilst waiting for a price drop, but now I'm not so sure... :hmm:

A few days ago a Spanish retail listing for a Vita version of Rayman Legends appeared, with a release date of August 29th. Today Ubisoft announced that the game's release has been brought forward to that date.

There's still no official announcement, but a Vita version seems likely and would be the one to get for me; Origins on the machine is a thing of beauty.

Apologies if this is a really stupid question, but can PSN PS2 games be played on a Vita? If not, have they said anything about that being enabled at some point?

No. And no. I doubt it's even technically possible without some major conversion or emulation. HD remakes only so far

It's an episodic adventure puzzle game made by Lucid Games, the Liverpool-based studio that formed from the ashes of the closure of Project Gotham Racing and Blur creator Bizarre Creations.

The game features a 3D world in which Jacob Jones, a small boy, and his friend Biggie, can explore. The story, which sees Jacob go to summer camp on an adventure, was penned by the BAFTA-nominated writer George Poles (The 11 O'Clock Show, Rory Bremner, Bird and Fortune, Smack the Pony, Have I Got News For You?).

Really been spoiled this week on Vita.

Thomas Was Alone is simply fantastic, just utterly wonderful to play.
Draw Slasher too is nice to play especially as a pick up and play for 5 minutes type of game.
Nun Attack is brilliant, only played a little bit thus far but can see myself spending a lot of time with it.

On the horizon we have Soul Sacrifice, Machinarium, Quell Memento,Jacob Jones, Stealth Inc, TxK, Velocity Ultra (free on PS+) and more.

Hurry up with bigger memory card please Sony.

You mean a premium on top of the already ridiculous premium they charge for the memory cards as it is? ;)

So in love with my Vita at the moment. To the point where I feel a pathetic amount of regret for already playing things in the past when ports get announced and I often abstain from playing on it to keep it as some sort of special treat

Great, isn't it? Love the 'characters' :D Annoyed I played through a fair chunk yesterday, did a cloud sync on the PS3 so I could grab it on the Vita. Sync'd the Vita but something has gone wrong and I'm back at level 1 on both systems!

I was totally like this:

That Dragon's Crown looks great, very Guardian Heroes-like. Was reminded of Odin's Sphere, also from Atlus (on PS2).

I've stilp only been playing Persona 4 on mine since getting it about 6 weeks ago (I think). I'm near the end now, and I've got mixed feelings. On the one hand, I'm gutted that I'll nearly be done with what has been one of my favourite games for years, on the other I'm glad that I'll soon be free of it's spell and can properly sample all the other stuff that my new favourite toy has.

Wandering around a sleepy Japanese town and investigating murders, whilst socialising with some of the most beautifully realised characters in video game history has got me thinking though - is it just me or would ports of Shenmue and Shenmue 2 fit really well on the Vita?

Finally got round to offloading all my Wii and DS stuff (as well as assorted other junk) to CEX, and picked up a Vita today. Completely pumped for TxK, and like the look of what's coming up as well. Got Rayman at CEX with trade in, and Everybody's Golf at HMV. Also picked up a Hori case for £1.99 in HMV as well, so worth a look if you're after one.

Subscribed to PS+ as well. Seems too good an offer to pass up. Have mainly been playing Everybody's Golf tonight, but Thomas Was Alone is really charming too.

Feel free to add me if you like.
