If the remote play / PS4 stuff is really going to take off & be a serious feature, ie being able to play all full console games then it simply has to have a hardware redesign to include the triggers.

Otherwise it will be a big waste of time, I can't think of anything better than being able to play things like Dark Souls 2 on the tv then switch to the Vita & back but it just wouldn't work without the triggers.

If they are struggling for space then they can get rid of the rear touchscreen, I certainly wouldn't miss it.

Also analogue triggers or some stuff (Trials for example) won't really be playable at all.

See, I'm going to disagree with that and say it needs more "big" titles rather than lots of shorter indie/mobile experiences (oh god, I said experiences). I have very little interest in 90% of those titles. For me it needs more games like Uncharted, Gravity Rush, things that are actually closer to a full console experience. After completing Persona 4 Golden there's nothing else really available for me to sink my teeth into. If I want to play games like Angry Birds, Ace Attorney, Peggle, Cut the Rope I'll just play them on my ipod touch.

It doesn't need AAA title coming out of every orifice, but one or two games (every few months) like a Borderlands or Tomb Raider would do it good on the sales front I think.

More RPG games would be welcome, I really want Catherine (in fact, yes, add that) on the system.

Since having my Vita, I cannot really go back to the iPhone as a whole, but would love to play some of those on the Vita, especially something like Ace Attorney, I would also like more games like Professor Layton, even though Jacob Jones does a decent enough job of scratching that itch.

It's not about having just certain game types, it needs to have a massive selection of genres that appeal to every type of gamer. I'm not suggesting Vita becomes essentially a clone of iOS, but there are some decent games on that and Android that would fit well on the Vita. Quell Memento is a good example of a game that started on those and came across.

and later this month the Jak and Daxter HD collection is coming out (all 3 games).

For reals? Oh man that's sweet. I was seconds away from buying that for the PS3 the other week but decided against it. I'd much rather have them on my Vita.

Fairway Solitare is bang on.

Along with PvZ and Zookeeper (my GF called my DS "The Zookeeper machine") it's one of the most inclusive, appealing games out there for non-gamers.

Indeed, although considering it's meant to be out soon there's been almost nothing said about it since it's announcement. PS Blog EU said it's coming in June and I presume it still is. 365 games currently have it for £22 (retail is £25), stick it in flubit and you'll probably get it for £20. Alternatively it's £23.86 at Shopto (flubit offer was £21.04 but I'm waiting to see if the 365 one is lower). Edit: I've just seen that 365 charge for postage so it won't be any cheaper I imagine.

I'll be getting that.

Played the Mini version for ages, its looks pretty ropey but I found it incredibly addictive.

I think the Vita desperately needs all the things I'd miss from XBLA (Rez, Outrun etc) so I can sell my 360 for PS4 funds.

Haven't seen it mentioned but OMG Zombies is getting a Vita upgrade. Haven't played it myself but I know the Mini was pretty highly rated.

Yay wishlists! I've said before that I'd really like a good 2D brawler like Viewtiful Joe or Dishwasher VS - I've heard that Guacamelee(?) is supposed to be a good option but I haven't gone there yet. I agree with Rez and Catherine (the former might be better suited to a big screen but it's still a great score-attack game regardless), and something like SFIII 3rd Strike still needs a handheld home that doesn't require homebrew CPS3 emulators that run at two frames per second. :D

Haha, I've been thinking about this too.

Rez on any format is great though.

Does it have a release date? That is a decent look list, I just wish I knew more about most of the games being shown (release dates :D)

I also want to see if they've improved the Jak and Daxter HD framerate, it looked a bit choppy in the original trailer.

Ys has a tentative of some time in Autumn but as it stands at the minute, it's a USA only release. However, thanks to the Vita's (albeit slight cack handed) region free, this isn't an issue. I hope it gets a sexy ass collector's edition like the PSP games. Shame there's still no news on the Kiseki series though but it's understandable.

I can see Ys getting a digital release here.

Well everyone on here seemed to be playing the PSP ones on their Vitas last year, so there's some anecdotal popularity right there. I had no idea this was on the cards though. I'm pretty pleased.

I've always liked using this video* to show off how Ys plays to people. Granted it's not indicative of every boss fight in the game but it's one of the more fun. Only a few years ago I was completely ignorant of Falcom and their games but after playing through Ys and Trails in the Sky**, I've been a complete convert.

*The video contains a boss fight and at the beginning a spoiler list of bosses. View at own discretion.

**If you have the chance and like RPG's pick this up.

PS Vita Mega Pack bundles 10 games & 8GB Memory Card for £29.99

Sony has announced plans to launch a series of PS Vita Mega Packs, a range of bundle packs that include an 8GB PS Vita memory card and a variety of downloadable games.

The first Mega Pack, which goes on sale in the UK later this month, will include the 8GB card and a voucher to download 10 games, including LittleBigPlanet Vita, WipEout 2048 and MotorStorm RC.

A price for the pack has yet to be officially announced, but Smyths currently has it listed for £29.99.

If accurate, the bundle would offer a hefty saving over purchasing each title individually. 8GB PS Vita memory cards typically retail for around £30 alone, with each of the included PS Vita games totalling around £73.

More PS Vita Mega Packs will release throughout the year, Sony says, but if you're holding out for one containing Assassin's Creed: Liberation and Call of Duty: Declassified, don't hold your breath: they each seem to be tailored to a younger audience.

"We know from our research that our younger gamers love playing with their PS Vita; exploring all of the device’s unique features while enjoying rich and deep gaming experiences on the top-quality 5-inch OLED touchscreen," says Sony. "Through these findings, we’ve carefully chosen the games that feature in the PS Vita Mega Packs."

The full line-up of games featured in the first PS Vita Mega Pack include:

  • LittleBigPlanet Vita
  • WipEout 2048
  • MotorStorm RC
  • Little Deviants
  • Frobisher Says
  • Ecolibrium
  • Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
  • Lemmings
  • Hungry Giraffe
  • The HD Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character
