Wish they made is easier to swap cards- does it format when you do or can you hold two 8gb's worth of games on the same account without it needing to format?

It doesn't format when you swap cards - you just need to turn the Vita off before you swap.

I have 2 8gb cards and a 16gb one and its no huge deal to swap between them

That mega pack is quite the deal at £30 - shame I have everything I'd be interested on it aside from LBP (which must be heading to plus soon surely...)

You can get better deals on ebay if you don't mind hanging around a bit. I bought a new Vita with Fifa 13, a 4gb memory card and an official case for £108 delivered. I sold fifa and the memory card (I had a 16gb one still from when I sold my Aus vita), so in the end I paid £88for a new vita and a case delivered. There are a lot of bundles going cheap as well if you don't mind second hand.

Aye, I've been keeping an eye on ebay but I tend to be a bit too paranoid with sellers on there, even if they have 100% feedback. Was interested in the game one since that seems to be a ridiculous price for the a combo like that. Might ping them a question and see if SS is a download or a boxed copy.

No idea really. Just had a check with their online help and it apparently is the boxed version. Might take the plunge with it then and pick up a couple of memory cards. Now just to hope that Game don't send out a "new" Vita which is clearly preowned.

Lots of RPG's in that list. Very nice. Still gutted that there won't be a PES 14 on Vita though. And yes, I know there's a PSP version coming, but it ain't the same :(

Yeah...lots of indie PC ports which is nice and good to see a machine housing trad JRPGs and some classics coming to a handheld platform...but there is so little there that really says Vita - as in a handheld machine that is only a little behind the power the current gen. Killzone and Tearaway aside much of that list could have appeared on the PSP without breaking too much of a sweat.

Its looking like the Vita's future is as an additional screen for the PS4 and another route to market for the indie's - which is a shame really as it could do so much more...

Someone over at GAF has done a monster thread about all the new and forthcoming vita games announced (though not very loudly!) at E3

Monster list in first post;

E3 2013: Vita Has Games

http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=592076

Thank God! I've been biding my time to get a Vita and waiting for the right game and finally it's here, Farming Simulator 2013!! Fuck yeah!

Does the Vita have terrible updates and patches like the PS3? What with the PS4 compatibility I am thinking about this now. However, how are they going to handle the missing triggers?

The Vita is much more seamless with all the updating and patching stuff than PS3. Game patches can be downloaded in the background and installing them typically takes seconds. Far less OS updates too, and they typically take under three minutes to download and install in my experience.

As for the missing inputs, Sony are directing developers to include a Vita specific control scheme, but for developers who don't make the extra effort there is a standard control mapping scheme. With Remote Play now being a system level feature applicable to all PS4 software, I'd hope developers do make an effort to properly support the Vita.

Hmm, even at E3 the Jak and Daxter trilogy apparently drops below 30fps. It's unlikely to change given it's supposed to be out in June and most retailers have it down for next week. Even at £18 I'm unconvinced.

Where the PlayStation 3 version runs at a silky 60fps, the Vita outing has serious frame-rate issues. The second game runs fine and holds steady, the third occasionally dips, but the first is all over the place as the Vita struggles to render everything on-screen.

And the controls feel wrong. Movement can be twitchy, and the commands that are assigned to the rear touch pad feel gimmicky and imprecise. When the platforming, shooting, and driving asks you to be very precise, the controls often let you down.

It's a real bummer, because without these problems The Jak and Daxter Trilogy would go from being a good package to a great one. The script is witty, the gameplay is constantly changing, and when everything's working as it should be these are among the best platformers ever produced.

I think I'll have to pass :( I really don't understand why Sony aren't supporting the Vita more. It was an atrocious E3 showing, yet there are actually quite a few games there. For some reason Sony neglected to mention any of them. If a large amount of games are going to be ports you'd think they could at least do them right.
