Download it when I get home, wait til tomorrow. Or tether to my phone and download it over 4G. Or just do something else.

I dunno, it's never really happened. I play what I have. I tend not to flit.

But you can't see how having a bigger memory card so that you've probably already got the other title on there would be a boon?  ok.

Well actually what you said was that you can't understand why other people might need bigger memory cards.  Hopefully a bunch of other people explaining the benefit to them has helped you to understand :D

I thought the problem was that you can't delete a game without deleting its save data. I ended up transfering some to a PC, but there's some I always like to keep on the memory cards because they have records I don't want to lose or may go back to them from time to time. Generally I can free up enough space to download a new game (I have 2 8GB cards), but it is an irritant.

Still, it's not like I use much at all anymore. Especially as the left stick often thinks I'm pressing up when I'm not.

“How do apps work on iOS? We should copy that.”

”Well, there’s this, but...”

”Sounds great. Once that’s ready make all the things you’ve ever purchased for any platform appear in the download list.”

"Oh, one more thing.  Let's give away some games every month, and make sure that some of them include all the DLC.  That way people will end up with pages upon pages of football kit downloads for a football game they will never play again."

I usually buy games before I buy into a platform, an early game I bought on PSN being Motorstorm RC Complete. Pages and pages and pages of fucking DLC I had to - and still have to - wade through to get to the other items I'd bought in and around it. Cheers, Sony! You massive twats.

Okay, I guess I'm just a bit more organised in that respect. I plan what I'm gonna play next and make sure it's ready to go. Maybe stick a couple of 'quick play' games on there in case I drift off and want something else.

What's your plan for when they nuke the store like they did with the PS Mobile games?

I genuinely can't see that happening. But in that event, I could back up all my games to my PC first (given enough warning!).

(Or, I don't know, hack the thing and torrent all my games. Or emulate it on whatever Portable Device is current gen in the far-off future where this might actually be a consideration.)

Hello!

Ive just bought a Vita! I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner, I’m so excited about the PSOne library at my fingertips.

I wanted to ask a stupid question if you will indulge me though.  If I buy a game on cartridge, it doesn’t install anything onto the machine does it?

I have an 8GB card, I’m looking at getting the FFX/X-2 remaster but it’s quite weighty so may pay the extra £5 to save on storage if it’s all contained on the cart :)

It’s lovely and it’s a shame it never really took off. I’ve almost worn mine out and short supply means they aren’t getting cheap again.

Great for playing slower paced PS4 games too. I did a bunch of Dishonored 2 with it.

I’m guessing the games aren’t exactly easy to find if you want to buy physical versions?

FFX/X-2 doesn’t show a limited stock thing on amazon so I’ll hang fire on that it’s £25 as well.  Have ordered Sonic Racing Transformed instead :D

Sonic Racing Transformed is amazing on the Vita.

I actually found that some of the levels have really bad frame rate issues. It is a fun little game and it's astonishing what's been crammed in it.

The physical release has FFX on cartridge and a download code for X-2. So don’t buy a second hand copy, unless you don’t plan on playing the spin off.

Superbeat Xonic is getting a permanent price drop across all formats; it's now £19.99 (from £29.99) on the PS Store and £29.99 (from £39.99) on Nintendo (apparently - I can't check myself as I don't have the console, but a guy on Discord had a look and told me it's "still" £30):

https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/product/EP4034-PCSB00891_00-SUPERBEATXONIC00

I've rambled on about the game many times, but it's a really enjoyable rhythm-action title. It's an oldschool bemani nonsense tracklist in a game that tasks the player with hitting corresponding buttons as notes radiate out from the centre, but I really like the way that the Vita game supports touchscreen as well, so if you fumble with buttons you can just drum your fingers on the screen... (and since notes radiate outwards, your fingers never need to obscure the action.)

It is very abstract, so you won't find Parappa levels of charm, but the gameplay is enough of a draw for me. :)
