Late to the party but I’ve just bought a Vita, I’ve bought Persona 4 Golden, Dragons Crown, Lego LOTR & Virtua Tennis 4, are there any other essentials I’ve missed?

Anything at a decent price on the PlayStation Store I should be picking up?

Thanks all

Wipeout is cracking.

Just looking trough my installed games and can echo some of the above.

Everybodys Golf

Wipeout

I'd add Everybody's tennis for PSP which is fantastic, has a great story mode and tons of charm

Other than that my games might be a bit more niche that you might not like but....

Hitsune Miku games - Great rhythm action games, I've got F2nd  on here at the moment

Sorcery Saga - Charming roguelike

Mary Skelter - Weird dungeon crawler

Persona 3 Portable for PSP

Also PS One games work, so stuff like Castlevania : SOTN is you haven't got that in some way.

Just looked up Mary Skelter as I'd never heard of it. Is it any good? Just looked at a video and it has some weird 'rub a lady' gameplay element. What's that all about?

It's one weird bit in a great game. But you only have to do it once for each girl then you can skip it each time, or you can ignore it completely as far as I am aware. Have a look at a video review and you'll see its a small part of the game. The sequel isout on switch and has the original game on there too.

I bought Moero Chronicles for the Switch without watching a review, I just saw the style of it and wasn’t fully prepared for the “rubbing of anime girls” element. I’ve not played it since

Don't think its as prevalent as that game from reading a quick review! But I am not that far in. I hope its not from what I just read.....

Do not buy Monster Monpiece, its a huge part of that games design, which is a shame as its a half-decent card battle game.

 I remember reviewing that. You are spot on though.

I keep thinking I’m missing something when I play it, it’s Golden Axe with RPG stuff right? There’s not some huge tactical layer I’m forgetting?

I worry I’m playing it wrong. Nothing this obviously meticulously crafted could be this accessible.

The only problem I have with the OlliOlli games is that it's far too easy to go "oh, fucked that up, RESTART"

Oh god, that feeling. Tony Hawks used to do it to me as well. "Bah, didn't land at the angle I wanted to..." [START, DOWN, DOWN, X, DOWN, X].

  • 1 month later...

I recently put 3.60 Enso on my PSTV and it's such a game changer with the whitelist plugin installed. Being able to play pretty much any Vita game on a big screen is amazing. Using a Dualshock 4, the only games you can't play are pretty much just the AR stuff and titles that use the rear touch pad. It's ridiculous just how good some stuff looks on a big screen. Plus there is the bonus of things like the combo challenges on games like DoA5+ being easier using a DS4.
