No, what she might get dragged over the coals for is when people figure out she works in marketing and is in some way involved in doing the PR at least for this film by working popular boards, but has tried to hide it.

I don't take issue with marketing the film. I take issue with the coy attempt to try and hide that it's anything but and that littlelegs hasn't been completely up-front about it.

Being involved in the marketing for films, tv shows, other fluff isn't something that's going to cause people to be hostile around these parts - there are plenty of people who are involved in the various industries covered by rllmuk for that, but they're all honest about their involvement in various projects.

The best bet is for littlelegs to be completely honest about her involvement with whichever firm it is she's working for then to use that position to get things like early access to trailers for board members, promo gifts and competitions, advance screenings etc whilst participating in honest and friendly discussion in threads related to stuff she isn't trying to flog.

It was a nice retort, but a little too practised.

Can I buy some weed off you?

Oh I'm sorry Van, what did you expect it to deliver? What I set out to achieve was for people to offer opinions on the topic. you have not done so. Therefore the reason the thread does not deliver, is because you haven't done what the thread required in the first place in order to 'deliver'. so whilst my first post may be ropey, at best, your first comment in this thread 'fails to deliver'.

Apology accepted.

Ugggh, thanks for pointing that out :(

That trailer has lots of fast angry kissing in. They look like two rattlesnakes striking each other.

Maybe she's the female Nic Cage, she'll do any old shit and occasionally she's amazing.

It's like Affleck says "One for the art, one for the money.."

Did no one else get dragged to see this?

It's the second time this year I've been made to go to a movie against my wishes but I was pleasantly surprised. While it's no where near as good as Rango, this is a thoroughly enjoyable little quest flick. Sometimes the humor misses but there are some good belly laughs and at a few points I giggled uncontrollably at the most childish shit.

It's not the most amazing movie ever but people who like cheesy films of old like Conan might find some enjoyment here.

Seeing it tonight.

**edit**

Okay, just back from it.

I found it amusing, while not exactly laugh-out-loud funny.

To be honest, if you've seen the red-band trailer, you have the jist of the whole thing,

the entire tone is laid out in it and it's not trying to re-invent the wheel.

I do wish James Franco would stop doing comedy, or attempting to do comedy. I don't find the man funny at all.

Some might say the same about Danny McBride, but I've warmed to him recently.

Natalie Portman is a goddess, obviously.

I'd be interested to hear more feedback from people who've seen this. In general it seems to have been panned, but it still ticks the juvenile humour 'box' in a lot of my friends' preferences. Are we going to bother seeing this at some point or not? You decide!

Like sky_captain said if you've seen the trailer you've seen the best bits. I enjoyed it but I found the only lines I was quoting after were those from the trailer. The action scenes were quite good though. It does start to grate towards the end though when the only jokes they can do are those that involve the main characters just saying "shit" or "fuck".

I heard pretty much the same on the radio Friday. It has its moments, but relies too heavily on people finding swearing funny.

They also mentioned that another reviewer they often have on the show went into labour just before interviewing Danny McBride during the week, but told nobody and completed the interview as if nothing was wrong. That's dedication to your job. Or foolishness.

Yeah, it's very reliant on potty-mouth humour.

The comedies that stand up for me, are the comedies with great dialogue.

This isn't one of them.

But ya know, it's incredibly hard to dislike it.

The missus loved it, her biggest gripe, was why the fuck were there twin moons?

Fantasy, dear... Fantasy.

Watched the unrated version last night . I actually thought it was pretty decent - but the swearing and sexual induwendo just seemed out of place. It would have been better with out that but that aside the story and effects were decent .

Is it wrong that I watched this yesterday and thought it was hilarious? I always enjoy films where the cast look like they're just having a laugh, just a shame there didn't appear to be any out-takes

Isabel: Isn't the Wise Wizard a pervert?

Thadeous: Yes. Sadly, I think he molested my brother.

Isabel: That's unfortunate
