Your bargain finds!

I also picked up the directors cut of the Nicholas Cage Wickerman for a pound, just to balance things out. :)

Why the fuck would you do that?

I'm still longing for the day I find a complete, barely touched Space Crusade in a cherridy shop. Alas however, cherridy shops and boot sales are thin on the ground around these parts, and distinctly lacking in Space Crusades.

I found Lost In The Woods in a charity shop in Walworth! It says Waldschattenspiel on every side but one so didn't look too appealing on first glance, but when I saw the english translation on the far edge I remembered this excellent review and snapped it up. £2 - Amazon has it for 30 :) (english language instructions included) Best of all when I got it home and opened it it has clearly never been played - felt hats unattached to gnomes and tealight never been lit. Joy

Bloody great wee game! I play it often with the guy who wrote that review. I'd recommend you play it right near dark for the best effect.

I have some Space Crusade bits to give away , really ony bits and pieces for spares. Includes a bunch of dice, some doors, 4x base pieces and a wad of cards. Was from a carboot along with some heroquest stuff so couldnt refuse . Sorry about the poor photo quality! not sure about postage but would be easy to send any smaller bits in an envelope or small jiffy. Also posted in the free stuff thread but I doubt it would get any attention there.

Nice find on the Ticket to Ride!

Leicester charity shops has provided me, over the past year, with:

Cosmic Crusade (1978 Eon edition) with the first expansion - £4

Doom The Boardgame - £2

and I picked up Scotland Yard for £1 at a car boot sale.

(But there have been countless other trips to carboots and charity shops that have yielded nothing at all).

I tend to do better from carboots lately.. so far this year I've found original complete versions of GW Dungeon Quest and D&D Dragon Quest for a couple of quid each.

For some reason they seem to get ignored, whilst everyone tries to hoover up all the PS3, 360 and Wii games.

My mate got Small World and Tannhauser from our local charity shop. I've been in fairly regularly after the fact and its all just crap.

Yeah it's all just total luck of the draw.. I keep going back to the one I got BloodBowl from but they have had bugger all since.
