Your bargain finds!

Picked up a copy of Your Bargain Finds! favourite Lord of the Rings for £1.99 in a charity shop. It's ridiculous how many copies of it there are doing the rounds. The box of this one was a bit tatty and there's a suspicious stain on the quickstart rules; other than that I'm not sure it's even been played. The cards are pristine and aside from a few that were floating around the box they were still in order.

The One Ring it ships with is a bit shit, eh? Unless it has some ulterior purpose I think I'll kick that out for the replica which came with an old review copy of Lord of the Rings Online. The actual piece looks more like a mild curry Ringo.

It needs to be that size so that it fits over the hobbit models to signify that they are using the rings special ability

Not exactly a bargain seeing as I paid full price for them, albeit about 10 years ago, but I'm home at my parents house for the weekend and have just been reunited with my copies of Guillotine and Lunch Money and all my Doomtown cards  found my Star Wars CCG cards too and a bunch of Shadowfist cards that I had forgotten I even owned. My wife has refused me permission to take them all back to our tiny one bedroom flat though :( need bigger home STAT.

I'll try and get some pics of my pretty impressive (even if I do say so myself) complete collections of Deadlands/Hell on Earth books if I get the time.

Just bagged a copy of the Totally Renamed Spy Game on ebay for the bargain price of £3. Looking forward to another silly card game.:)

Oh and on friday I bought the Tales and Legends Expansion for Small World for £10 from Travelling Man which came with a free copy of the Leaders of Small World expansion which I already owned. I've since discovered that this is a hard to come by expansion and have managed to sell it on ebay for £16. Bargain!

Then I picked up a copy of Zombie in my Pocket at Forbidden Planet which was priced up at the impulse purchase price of £9.99 but it rang through the till at £5.99 so my day just kept on getting better.:)

Just picked up these from a car boot

£3 the lot!

Holy fucking crap. Deathmoor is one hell of a find there, I was overjoyed when I bought a single copy for £15. Interesting structure too. I've still to get Crimson Tide and Tower of Destruction as well.

Rifts source/world/adventure/wtf-ever books are the barmiest things you'll read. They're constructed from the dreams of geeky adolescents, all power armour and lithe women in magical bikinis.

All about the vampire kingdoms for me. Great game if you want to just mix up a whole load of genres.

I've got loads of RIFTS sourcebooks. You are of course completely right

I really liked the Phaseworld and Wormwood books at the time.

Used to love Palladium too.

I gave away my Space Hulk, Genestealer, Deathwing , Blood Bowl and Adeptus Titanicus to my nephew. I asked him if he still had them the other day and he told me that he burnt them.

My Rifts core and remaining expansions (Sourcebook One, Conversion Book and Vampire Kingdoms, if I remember rightly) have all vanished along with my Ninja Turtles and Heroes Unlimited. Must have got rid of them at some point. No big loss; still, they would have made for a nice Tales feature.

And yes, that's shocking news about your nephew. You should have told him "Really? Because they're worth an absolute fortune and I was going to eBay them for you." Share the misery.

There is a chance he did just sell them on ebay, of course.

Long time lurker, but the D&D thread made me finally sign up. So hello :)

Last Wednesday at the summer rugby club car boot:

£1 each. Complete, unpunched etc. Bonuses included three addons in the standard box and one additional addon in the advanced set.

I took some additional pictures of the box contents here (to save clogging up the thread)

Anyone ever played it? Looks quite well supported and loved from a quick Google..

[Edit: corrected link to additional pics]

Filecore: I used to play the Marvel RPG ages ago, fond memories of creating some ridiculous characters.

moosey, it's against the law to leave a decent Ravensburger title behind. I have far too many copies of Labyrinth, if you ever spot a copy of Master Labyrinth let me know...

Yup! I've played it. Many, many, MANY years ago.

My mate had these huge ring-binders for it, filled with practically every Marvel character, hero, villain, god, alien, etc. in it. I'd spend hours pouring through them :D

I think it required too much role playing for me to really get into.

Welcome to the forum by the way! It's nice in this little corner :)
