hang on, so if i got this on say... a dreamcast, i can (with no bother at all) play agains PCs/macs/whatever?

I know PCs and Macs can battle, not sure about the DC version, but it's likely.

AFAIK, there is no DC version of Q2. There is a DC version of Q3. The server has to be running special DC maps if PC owners and DC owners both want to log on.

Actually, after the source was released, a DC version of Q2 popped up.
