Bargain buys for everyone.

Recommended Posts

Oh yes. Not CMON. Sorry. Similar concept. Not shitting on the deal as such but I think it's very much the sort of game people will rush to buy at a deep discount because of the big plastic. I thought it was underwhelming in the extreme. 40 quid gets a lot of superb games these days.

365 games is having some slightly fluctuating good prices going in and out of stock. Troyes is about £20, Dead of Winter Flick ‘Em Up about £13, Barenpark about £20 and I picked up Food Truck for £10. Basically, look through the best sellers and check back if they’re out of stock.

(Look on eBay too, as they seem to be duplicated there too.)

Ikea are, knowingly or not, selling a bargain Hexcrawler table.

Quote

IKEA are selling a 159 cm by 76 cm glass tabletop with an almost perfectly sized hex grid for $60. That’s cheaper than buying a hex battle map from most specialist retailers.

Available for £60 in the U.K. .

Amazon Prime Day isn't showing up much of interest so far, Charterstone and Photosynthesis tomorrow might be worth a look. But there are a few reduced games on there in general as well:

Hit Z Road - £17.99 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Asmodee-Hit-Z-Road-Game/dp/B01EZUCJ54/ref=pd_lutyp_crty_cxhsh_1_1/261-2349546-6529507?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01EZUCJ54&pd_rd_r=093767cc-fcd4-4efb-a7b7-d4b721487146&pd_rd_w=W6UHV&pd_rd_wg=UHIRf&pf_rd_p=4fea4fd1-3304-4ce4-9975-88617826e42f&pf_rd_r=VTK5XKQM6X24KSWT1CSR&psc=1&refRID=VTK5XKQM6X24KSWT1CSR

Flick 'Em Up: DOW - £15.73 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pretzel-Games-PZG30030EN-Flick-Up/dp/B073NSRB9X/ref=pd_lutyp_crty_cxhsh_1_2/261-2349546-6529507?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B073NSRB9X&pd_rd_r=ccf177ef-af70-46b5-a96d-90e89d2111a6&pd_rd_w=NLobv&pd_rd_wg=0Kzp5&pf_rd_p=4fea4fd1-3304-4ce4-9975-88617826e42f&pf_rd_r=WEVFHR0AAWNXE1A47ZAF&psc=1&refRID=WEVFHR0AAWNXE1A47ZAF

I've gone for Tail Feathers, which looks a lot like X-Wing But Mice On Birds which sounds like a good idea to me. Junk Art is great though, strongly recommend that.

Board games mate.

I was responding to a now deleted post from a chancer advertising PC games from possibly a dodgy site, didn't notice it was board games, not that it matters, but he is now gone.

Not cool Ben, not cool at all.

I think getting a bot or dodgy user removed from this forum is pretty cool.

Is the Twilight Struggle AI as hopeless on PC as it is on iOS? Quite tempted at that price, but not if it's still dumber than a bag of hammers.

Brilliant, thanks for that!  Some great colours in there too.  Smokey Ink is one of my all-time favorite miniature paints.

Is there anything wrong with Quadrapolis?  It seems suspiciously cheap for a Days of Wonder game at only £14.99 over on Amazon UK.

Yeah, I thought that usually drove the price up.

Any good for two players?

Only when they're out of stock.

And yeah I've exclusively played it in 2 player and it's good fun. It has a little interactivity but not much but it's still good fun, especially for 15 bar.

Chaos Cards Boxing day sale is on. Not a huge range of bargains but I did get Tybor the Builder, great little card game in the Oh My Goods range, for less than £4 which I bought for a present since I already have it. Nusfjord for under £20 and The Great City of Rome for £8.95. All made a bit cheaper by using their discount christmas code for boardgames, Ring-7. I've used Chaoscards several times and they are always very good.

I got Nusfjord for a similar price around black Friday. Really like it for a mid weight Rosenberg that's much easier to get played than some of his meatier efforts, and is well under an hour in two player. Absolute bargain at £20.
