I can't remember the last time I played it, so I'm about to (literally) dust off my stick and hop into training mode for a bit. If anyone fancies interrupting me and getting a lobby going...

 

Combos from Nathan Brown are not expected, but most welcome.

We should start a weekly online lobby. The rusty old Krustys. A little lobby Meet up for an hour once a week. 

 

Used to love those HD remix Sunday night sessions. I miss Asura and his mash get smash microphone. Don’t think anybody told the poor lad nobody could understand a word he said.  

Also don’t believe a word @Nate Dogg III says, when he came down for the edge my favourite game piece. We had a nice Session, I was clinging on and fighting for dear life with my Juri. His Ken Is still bloody furious. Good times 

 

found my stick and downloading.

I probably should've mentioned I have this on PC too. 

 

Lovely little lobby session with joffo earlier. Starting out with Dan as you'd expect, before casually going through the cast. I tried my best to do the same but it became quite apparent very quickly that I'd forgotten what the good buttons were for certain characters, let alone which ultra is which. We had a very buttonsy Guile join at one point. He got absolutely mauled. Poor thing.

 

I even made someone rage quit in Ranked. It was a good day.

 

Might hop back on this evening, around 8ish.

Good games Donut! I might be on for a little bit late this evening if either of you folk (or anyone else) fancy a few fights.

 

I played a wee stint in Ranked earlier and won all but one fight so that was nice. One player I beat had a 35% disconnect rate but actually stayed til the end despite me beating his Dudley. In the rematch he opted for a Dan mirror match and we both taunted a whole bunch so I thought maybe they had a sense of humour but when I was about to KO them they quit so I guess they were just absolutely ragin'.

 

A Rolento player invited me to a first to five too, they were very polite and the matches were great. Ludicrous corner pressure and I loathe Rolento's standing hard kick and standing medium punch. And everything else he does. A great set though, it's my favourite game.

I've been getting absolutely mauled in Ranked this evening. Not a single win.

 

Oh! Just got a win off a 10,000BP Ken player*. That'll do. And an 11,700BP Evil Ryu (though they beat me several times before that).

 

It's so difficult to punish in this without the input buffer from SFV. I'm pretty inconsistent with my combos too but rust is as much to blame as input lag for those.

 

Dan is still the best.

I had a good few games on b2b cabs last night at Arcains in Liverpool. Highlight was taking a very close first round with Ken's full ultra animation, during which I got up and walked round, very warmly shook the guy's hand and got back to my stool in time for round 2 whereupon he totally crumbled. I remember someone doing it to me in China and I found it really funny and surprising rather than disrespectful. Bit of a gamble but fortunately he found it funny. Good games, good vibe.

I played some of this at GlesGames this weekend! A friend Marco and I had threatened each other with a first-to-10 Money Match set for a while (literally years) and finally got a chance to do it.

 

If it had been a best of three I'd have lost 2-1 so I was delighted to get a feel for the game again (after a few too many KRK FADC into whiffed standing hard kicks) and win 10-3 overall. I even managed my favourite setup after backthrow of empty neutral jump, lk.Dankick (which hits crossup if they try to crouch block), EX Koryuken FADC Ultra 2. With an audience! Yes.

 

Won a fiver! Gonna start hustling Marcos at highway truckstops, switching up my stick grip while murmuring "over the top, over the top!".

Hello SF4 friends. Still playing this daily with SFO running online tournaments during the lockdown. I was extremely bored yesterday so finally trawled through my replays and put some clips together. Please enjoy:

Forgot all about Rose's F+HK putting them into a juggle state. Beautiful.

 

I played a little last night on PS4 and ended up in a mirror match against the number 1 ranked Dan player in the world, haha. I lost quite thoroughly.

 

I did play against a Rose player; I remembered that her backdash was obnoxious but I was quickly reminded just how obnoxious it is. I don't have the timing down for an Option-select chase downs to I was just doing raw dankicks on their wakeup instead.

This randomly popped up on my recommended list. Had to post as it’s a stunning match.

Bonchan was so completely terrified of the command grab it clouded his judgement. Alex knew it too as he didn’t do a single one, he literally saw the matrix.
