carlito, listen;

All of your neg rep points were from me. All future negs you receive will also be from me.

All of your plus rep is from your alt. account. Everybody knows.

Now just drop it, OK?

I don't care about my negs and pluses - I only exist in about 3 threads.

I just want people to be exposed. I want drama. I WANT WAR.

PS. Don't mention the "I WANT WAR" bit in A&F it will ruin my hitherto considered advances.

For me I find it strange that people don't click with sticks, its just goes hand to hand with me for any beat em up but then I wasted my youth in arcades babysitting me playing games. It just brillaint, possibly one of the best purchases I made for a long while and it may feel plastic but its sturdy and strong. My only gripe is that it isn't really heavy since I was expecting to to heavy from reviews but its just perfect harmony playing with a stick.

Oh, I went to the cinema to watch Black Swan over the weekend and snapped this treat

imagehqv.jpg

Creeped the balls off the Snack Commander behind the till when I leaned over to snap it as I think he thought I was trying to rob him, but I feel it was definitely worth it.

Black Swan is pretty good ACTUALLY NATHAN, not to mention hip and young.

Unfortunately it is not quite as good as the Piano Teacher by Michael Haneke which deals with similar issues and will ruin a good 6 days of your life with the depression it brings about.

i got about twenty pages into the novel the piano teacher once, then was persuaded to go along to see the film the pianist with a friend, mistakenly believing it to be the film you're talking about. the pianist was pretty good, i guess.

these days we only go to the cinema if what we want to see is showing on imax, which means in the last couple of years i've been to see inception and, wait, no, just inception.

Sidewalk Slapper.

wait, i mean.

Sidewalk Slugger.

Just making me wonder what cost 1.80 - Max Chips perhaps?

After watching some disgusting Viper matches yesterday I had a quick go with her in the evening (was in bed way before any lobby shenanigans :(). Quite enjoyed her despite only winning one match I think and I'm never going to have the execution for her, falling back to Abel didn't improve things at all - I seem to have an internal flowchart for him now which I find difficult to break.

Highlight of the night was a runaway taunting, random srking Ken who quit halfway through - not gonna say I was guaranteed to beat them but I wasn't as riled up by this behaviour as I normally get and I think I had the life lead when he quit. Obviously afterwards went to send player feedback - 'You cannot submit more than one negative feedback report about a player' Oh, guess I've met this guy before. I think it was SARGY AOD looking at my recent players list on xbox.com but don't hold me to that - am I missing some option to remove people from even showing up in the list of available lobbies? I can't keep the names of every arsehole I've played in my head at once unfortunately.

Ha, that's my homophobic Ken-friend. He's never quit on me though. Jab SRK followed immediately by EX SRK right? Immediate SRK after jumpins too?

I've fought him. He did both of those things Nate mentioned a lot. He also did empty jump into Ultra.

In the the last round he jumped on Sakura's jumping fierce four times in a row and then started taunting me from full screen and then quit.

It has to hit or be blocked, yeah, if it whiffs completely then you're not able to do the cancel. There are some things you can FADC without connecting (fireballs, for example), but for most moves where you physically hit them with a part of your body you'll need to connect or have it blocked in order to cancel it.

You can input the focus attack from the instant the move connects until it goes too far into the animation and Ryu has already taken off. This timing varies from move to move, with some quite strict and others allowing some freedom (with Ken's fierce SRK you can FADC after the first hit, or wait a little longer if you're so inclined).

I really hate jab SRKs - I'll get that instant hope of something to punish and then by the time my slow brain has realised it can't I've got hit with another one :( I was definitely much calmer last night than I usually am though, think that's because my rage is currently being directed at Castlevania to such a degree that some Ranked SSFIV was a relaxing pastime by comparison.

It's timing. You can FADC out of akuma's DP into his red fireball but it took me ages to get the timing down. Break it down into parts. Work on just getting the FADC out first before you think about the ultra. One slightly ugly technique which worked for me was just to mash forwards as soon as I did the dp and the the FADC usually comes out quite quick. But this isn't the neatest and half the time I find myself dashing twice instead.

Remember you can follow up an FADC'd SRK with easier moves than ultra (EX hadoken, regular or EX SRK*) so maybe practice just cleanly launching them then dashing forward from both sides first. I used to be really good at mashing it all out in a panic too quickly so that the ultra missed them, you'll find you've got more time to do it than it first appears.

* I haven't tried this, but does SRK, FADC, jf.MP into ultra 1 work? That looks pointlessly flash, even more so if you can squeeze an EX tatsu in there to put them in the corner after the medium punch.

If the move you want to FADC out of have has a forward/backward direction in it, you can use that as the 1st part of the double tap that makes you dash - so long as you do both parts close enough together. So, the forwards of a fireball (down, down-towards, towards) can be the first towards of the double-tap towards you'd use to dash out of the Focus Attack if they both happen within the frames that count for a dash.

So you'd go: down, down-towards, towards + Punch (the fireball), MP+MK + towards (FADC)

It's just practice dude.

It's wierd to do tappy tappy motion followed immediately by the roundy roundy motion. That's the basis of the whole tap your head rub your belly gig that causes FuntimeDave so much trouble.

lol - you are such a wanker. I am gonna beat the shit out of you in Fight Night Championship.

I was going through this thread last night, always a good one to catch up on as it's so positive.

I must say, those Mike Ross and Cootext (or whetever his name is) videos are very enjoyable. Most youtube videos about gaming seemed to come direct from Cuntsville, Wyoming but i must have watched about 2 hours of those dudes and was thoroughly entertained.

Very true. Their Cross Counter show, whilst not nearly as entertaining as Excellent Adventures, always gets a load of positive comments from the Machinima viewers who don't even like fighting games but are sick to death of all the Call of Duty etc. videos made by dickheads.
