I was so disheartened and dissapointed when I read earlier today that the magnificent beautiful TE stick was compared to cheap plastic, then I felt I had to right such a wrong. I just saw this on my screen a second ago, and yes, it's from a checkout screen.

Deeply envious of you Mr. Uzi.. I'm hoping Mad Catz will send me one for getting Chun over 7,000BP soon. I assume that's how they're awarded.

Uzi vs. Gerbik on the replay channel, you say. When does Mr. Gerbik play generally? I have seen the enthusiasm in the threads but have yet to battle the man for an extended period in the context of a lobby.

Any tips for doing the double fireball motion for supers/ultras on the stick? I can do it sometime but all too often I get a SRK.

I'd recomend going onto training, picking a nice shoto like Ryu, then try doing the simple combo of Fireball->Super. So, essentially you're just doing the fireball twice in a row. This should help you get the motion down.

If the move you want to FADC out of have has a forward/backward direction in it, you can use that as the 1st part of the double tap that makes you dash - so long as you do both parts close enough together. So, the forwards of a fireball (down, down-towards, towards) can be the first towards of the double-tap towards you'd use to dash out of the Focus Attack if they both happen within the frames that count for a dash.

So you'd go: down, down-towards, towards + Punch (the fireball), MP+MK + towards (FADC)

This. It was like a revelation when it clicked in my head, and the motion feels so right when you get it.

(I still cock it up online no end, but less so than two separate forward pushes.)

how long did it take poeple here to learn the stick, or at least get to the same level of competency with it? at the moment I'm far too terrified to use the stick online, as all my precious pp will instantly evaporate. Not to mention that I'm rubbish in arcade mode with it, let alone ranked.

I'm spending a good hour a day just using it in practice, though.

How long have you been doing it? I only got my stick today and put about 5 hours in. (I had nothing better to do). From that limited experience I'd think that after 1 hour things would just start clicking and that's when you need to keep going to build up the muscle memory for next time. I'd say try to do 2 hours at a time if you can. I also noticed that it's worth mixing up the modes as I'd find something I could do in training but getting it to work in a fight was another matter.

I've had my stick about a week, but haven't been able to use it much due to being busy with other things. I'd anticipate a few weeks before i get really comfortable with it. And being able to do stuff in training is much easier than in an actual fight. It's well and good doing it on a dan who sntands still and you have all the time you need to think, but your brain needs to be quicker in a match and it's much easier to get flustered and fluff something when someone's trying to hit you back. but spending time in training repeating moves and combos is the best way to ensure you get them off more frequently in matches so I'd spend more time there.

Also I always try to have a little warm up in training mode just re-remembering all the combos and timings i can do before i go into ranked, since it's nice to have them sat in your mind already instead of drawing a blank when trying to remember how to punish.

Hello!

Just to let any Londoners know, I'm going to be going to Casino to check out AE between 1 and 2, and I'll probably stay there until 5ish most likely. I do reserve the right to leave earlier if the place is empty and I have run out of money.

Anyway, I don't have a fancy internet phone, so I won't be able to tell if anyone is coming or not as I'm about to go out to my morning classes, but yeah, if anyone does pop in, I guess you might be able to recognise me. :) Just to make sure. I'll be wearing the cement Jordan IIIs. Anyway, hope to see some of you later.

Any tips for full circle on a stick, can't seem to pull off certain moves when I went with Hakan.

You don't need to do the full circle; when i'm hawking, i'll usually start with the stick pointing towards my opponent (so holding right if im on the player one side). then I spin it clockwise in a circle until it hits up-back, and hit punch before my character starts jumping away. voila! perfect typhoon, every time^_^ Also, you may already know this, but the range of light punch command grabs is deceptively long. Get used to it, and you can grab people when it still looks like they're out of range.
