I'm now officially a PS3 owner (well, hopefully this morning when it gets here).

I've got disgaea 3, GT5 prologue, UT3 and ninja gaiden sigma sitting here for it and hopefully today I'll be off to currys to get my hands on uncharted 2, god of war and infamous.

I see no Valkyria Chronicles on that list. :quote:

My list is much longer than that, don't worry.

Uncharted 2 is £10, god of war £10 and Infamous £5 in currys at the moment and I have a couple of £5 vouchers too.

Demon's souls and valkyria chronicles are right at the top of my list, don't worry. I pretty much bought the PS3 on the want for those 2 games alone.

"A space shooter for 2 bucks" mini looks hilarious but not sure how great the gameplay looks.

It's pretty awful. The ship has a strange touch of inertia which makes the sideways attacks very difficult to dodge and you spend most of the time battling that and getting hemmed in. Chunky bullets, chunky player and chunky enemies need precision movement not Luigi-like inertia.

I was disappointed, from the videos it looked like a PS3 version of 'Deluxe Galaga' in reality it was far from it.

Quick question, just setting up a PS3 slim as a Christmas present and there's no TV icon on the XMB and so no iPlayer or ITV Player options. Help?

Yeah, they'll pop up eventually but goodness only knows what makes them decide to appear.

As an aside, you definitely can't get it on a US PS3 in the UK, can you?

They work fine on mine, just have to log into my UK user name if I want to connect using the icons. for BBC iplayer I usually connect through the browser to save me logging out of my (main) US account.

Well as long as it happens of its own accord, not a big deal as its for a little kid but be nice to make sure everything's sorted before he gets his hands on it.

Don't have a UK account, do you get the ITV player as well?

Yuss! BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and 4OD are on mine, plus Vidzone, Lovefilm and that new music thingy are on there as well.

Yeah man, he's gonna be gutted when he can just load a game instead of finding out it's first got to update the PS3 firmware, reboot and then download and install three updates for the game! Without that 90 minute wait he'll never appreciate it!
