I would do, but the thought of getting something painted and finished in the space of a month brings me out in a rash. Plus I'm not sure I have a mini that's appropriately fleshy enough...

Doesn’t have to be a full finished mini - could just be a face!

Nailed it!

Those gems look smashing. Will you add some gloss varnish on them after everything's done?

I expect so, really helps them pop.

Been a productive week. Finished my first ever Necrons, which I know I can improve but I’m happy to call finished, a couple of Nighthaunt, and this guy, which I am backing away from before I fuck it up...

Nice, is the black primed and highlighted in grey or did you do anything else?

I went all round the houses with it tbh. Black undercoat, Incubi Darkness highlights, tidy up with Black Templar (which removed all trace of the incubi darkness), administratum grey re-highlight, tidy up with Black Templar, etc, etc.

In the end I removed all but the most subtle of highlights and I can see where I should add more, but I just can’t seem to get them neat enough and I can’t face another round of cutting in to tidy up

I reinstated a lost highlight on this guy’s shoulder pad which went ok, but doesn’t match his other one because...I can’t remember what paint I used

It’ll do though. I also finished three different Necrons - a sort of brass guy, a rusty guy, and one that’s loosely based on the Imperial Daleks of the Colin Baker/McCoy era:

I’m glad I didn’t paint these as my first models, as they were fun but quite fiddly. Keen to do more though, I think I’m a bit sick of Stormcast and Nighthaunt.

Warriors are surprisingly fiddly to assemble and paint, I have 52 in my army and it got rather tedious.
