Best Advance SP peripheral ever

Gameboy Advance SP docks that charge the SP by USB. Tonnes better than leaving it prone and open to scratching with the normal charger. Big red light to tell you when its charging. Plenty in stock in the exact colours and texture of all the SP models. €12. Never seen them in England ever but fair play if they are available.

Scuse cables, mic, guitar, synth and dat, not anything to do with the charger :D

Got it in Germany. it's by a company called Speed Link

Pretty pointless little gadget if you ask me.

IMO docks are only useful when you have a device that synchs with your pc. The device is upright, so you can read the screen.

Why on earth would you want a GB dock !  :D

To charge up your GBA from the USB port. Very useful.

If it was just a USB charging cable I'd hear ya.

I like to try and get USB charges for everything I can.

That way, when I'm away from home, I can charge everything via my laptop and don't have to carry 100s of mains adapters around.

Of course, I prefer cables to docks though, as docks tend to take up as much space as a charger anyway.

but unless you're using a laptop and draining the power from that via USB, where there's a PC there must be a mains socket - so why not just use the default nintendo charger?

If we're talking about a USB charging CABLE the reason would be that you wouldn't have to carry the "bulky" adapter around if you want to charge at a different location.

Because your PC is plugged into it.

Also, having to carry one mains adapter for you laptop, is a lot better than having to carry several for your laptop, SP, phone, PDA, camera, etc...

I'd like one to stick on my desk at work - no spare power sockets, but a few spare USB ones. The dock means that the GBA will be held nice and neatly instead of just laying on the desk picking up scratches etc as it's shoved around.

If you have no use for one that's fine - doesn't make it useless to everyone though.

appreciated. was a genuine question, not having a go. :D

appreciated. was a genuine answer, not having a go. 8)

Also, for me, my USB ports tend to be more accessible than a free mains socket.

Also, a dock would be handy as when I got home in the evening I could pop my SP into a dock alongside my iPod, mobile phone and Palm.

Don't put it next to your iPod though, it'll ruin the view... 8)

I bought a 20gb 3g iPod a couple of week ago, and Oh How I Love That Machine !!

I really like it because it protects it as well. With the standard charger it usually is vulnerable on a busy desktop or on the floor. Instead it stands on top of the PC tower safe and snug and swish looking.

Also it's removable, you can just use the usb charger cable on its own. Oh and it was actually 11 euros which is £7.

It's a cable that plugs into the dock, you can remove the dock and just plug the cable in. both are included in the package obviously. the dock is tiny, as can be seen in the piccy, it's just there as a better indicator and a safe place for it to stand while charging

A safer place? Hmmm... sounds like crap to me...

Where do you normally place your GBA? On the edge of a cliff?
