Anyone have any tips of how to get out of a bad streak? Right now it's a vicious cycle of not getting many chances as my team rep is low, so I don't get a chance to earn a good match rating even if I hit my chances, and if I'm faced with tough shots or passes I get a 1.something. This just leads to worse rep and it goes on and on.

I tell you what else I would absolutely love - a full career breakdown, showing the clubs I played for, my appearances, goals and assists for each club and also my career acheivements - so x league titles won/promotions/relegations/cups etc (if that could be shown easily by club it would be even better).

Yeah, that kind of stuff will be implemented. It won't be quite as detailed as NSS5 which has a full career break-down of stats, year-by-year and team-by-team, but it will record teams played for, goals scored, competitions won etc.

I will need to play the game a bit with very low relationships to make sure it's not impossible to get back in form but essentially I would spend a few weeks building up your team relationship to at least 50%. Then you will get more opportunities in the match - also, sacrifice shots for passes.

Interception are all well and good, but when can I stick in a desperate lunge to either save my team from a certain goal or sent off?

Some blood and thunder moments here you choose to go for it or pull out of a tackle could mean the difference between hero, villain, or coward...

Well, I dropped back down a couple of leagues from Leyton Orient. Don't care though, fuck 'em. At least I'm having fun at Newport.

I started at with Annagh in the NI 2 division before progressing to linfield and winning the league there. Moved to Spain with Grancf and also won the league there 2 years in a row before deciding I needed a change. I built up a good repport with fans so moved to Inter in Italy rather than stay in Spain. After another title winning season I'm now off to Man U.

As my career is coming to the end I might move back to my first club to see if I can get them a couple of promotions.

Has anyone taken a bung?

Good point about the wind! As for transferring to lower leagues - that's something I really need to work on.

Yeah, I had the exact same thing with GUISEL(?) trying to buy me whilst I was at Man United.

Had an epic session yesterday. I was at Man City for a few seasons, but only managed to win the League Cup. Transferred to Man Utd and things were pretty much the same, couldn't get near winning the league (won the FA cup though). Then I started a new season and lost the first 4 or 5 games and was rock bottom. I then went on a 16-game winning streak, managed to get into second place with one game to go, but I blew it out my arse. Drawing 1-1 with City when a win would have clinched the league.

It was alright in the end though as I did the treble in my next season (no achievement though). I've decided to go into semi-retirement now at the age of 27 and have dropped down to League Two to play for my beloved Gillingham.

..and got snapped back up again by Southend. In better form here, and I just pulled a 10.0 to get us out of the relegation zone. Six games to go and we could yet pull Orient into it, the bastards.

Concentrate on getting your team relationship to max, it's easily the most important way of getting better because it means you have more opportunities per game. As far as I can see, you're only gonna win the league with you taking a star role, you should be getting at least as many goals as games. Your team seems to get better as your star rating goes up but I could be imagining that. I think I was level 15 when I won the prem with Derby.

I just had the most satisfying moment ever.

Playing for Telford against Braintree, the boss didn't pick me because my energy was low. Lying bastard, he didn't pick me because he didn't like me so I used some energy up on the training field.

Anyhow, I come on with about 25 mins remaining, and 1-0 down. Not much opportunity comes my way until in the 89th minute, I receive the ball within shooting range on the right, and loft a sweet shot over the defender's head and beyond the keeper's despairing dive.

Then, a minute later, I get the ball on the edge of the box and rifle it into the corner to seal the victory. FUCK YES!

The next game was somewhat similar, 2-0 down to Barrow when I came on, dragged it back to 2-2 and had a hand in the 87th minute winner. In the 90th, I scuffed my chance of a hat trick but can't really complain.

My team mates, boss and fans don't like me much - probably didn't do myself any favours pushing the boss for more money when I moved at the start of the season from Eastbourne Borough (we went out in the playoff semi final after coming up from the Conference South, they're now in danger of falling back down without me). But ★7 a game and ★2 per goal can't be sniffed at, can it?

By the way, those of you who've dropped down to the lower divisions after a spell at the top - are you still getting high wages at the likes of Gillingham? I think it'd be rather cool if you could make the drop down the divisions, but had to take a paycut which in turn made it harder to maintain your lavish lifestyle. The fans should love you for it (initially!) but sponsors and so forth could start to drop as you fade from the limelight.

Well, I was hardly at "the top" but when I went from league 1 back to the conference my wages didn't change much. Can't remember exactly but might have stayed at 7★. Still had to work hard for the fans though.

Now I'm in league 1 again, killing it with Southend. After avoiding relegation we look a good bet for playoffs this year! Still not great wages but 4★ from sponsors plus 3★ per goal, and as I've got good relationships I don't need to spend as much on NRG. I'll be really torn if a big club comes in with an offer, I want Southend in the Prem!

I think I made an oversight with regards to wages in the lower leagues (they will pay the going rate for a player of your star rating). This will be fixed in the next update. In the meantime, version 1.05 is up on the Android store and on Kongregate. God damn Apple are still sitting on v1.03.

Glad about that girlfriend one. Mine was a total pain. She was constantly going on the radio, yapping her mouth off about the team and the boss. Fans hated me, team mates hated me, boss wouldn't even give me a game, sponsors were jumping ship- so I spend ages building up my relationships with them again, and trying to keep her happy too- you know, holidays, presents, flowers, cocktails... and then she's on the goddamn radio again. Maybe she had her own show or something. I asked her, begged her, pleaded with her- Please, baby, don't say anything about the boss on the radio again, it's killing my career and she was all Yeah, yeah, don't worry, I promise, love ya and I'd drive off to training and turn on the radio and hear her bloody voice screeching out over the airwaves, badmouthing the big man, and by the time I arrived at the ground I'd be sent off to train with the fucking reserves again.

This is brilliant. Loaded it up in my iPad tonight and gave the career a go. I'm at Dover. Highlights so far are scoring a hat trick in the fa cup and scoring a winner from 46 yards. got to work on the chipped passes over an opponent as I often lose possession when I attempt them.

It's very addictive and has that 'one more go' feeling completely nailed.

Anybody else finding this a bit buggy on Android? I've had the crowd sounds disappear (but the chimes for passing/scoring etc still happen), corruption in the icons so they become just a block of colour, hanging due to Monkey (that necessitate having to manually force close)...are these known issues that will be addressed? Luckily the game saves all progress so it hasn't cost me anything other than a little frustration and time, so that's good.

Really nice little game though. I am tempted to go for the big-boy version on PC and become an attacking midfielder, because I like the idea of helping the team perform and win, rather than scoring most of the goals myself. I imagine that allowing the option to be a midfielder on the mobile version would be a fairly significant undertaking as you'd need to tweak the gameplay to make it a different experience?

Yeah, there are some issues with certain android phones which I'm trying to address so hang tight.

I want to expand and improve the match engine in the future so that it's possible to play in defence, midfield or attack.
