Have had that green-screen bug after a couple of cup finals now... for anyone who gets it, it can be fixed by restarting the phone, but good to hear the patch is on the way.

Have all the achievements except the sponsors one now, finally won the Premiership with Man City but only juussst on the final day, very close. Then scored 4 in the FA Cup final 8) . What's the most amount of goals in a season you guys have got then? I got 58 at City.. but I'm sure people will have beaten that...

Few ideas for more achievements:

- Do the double (or treble?)

- Win all 3 major European league titles

- Score a hat-trick in a cup final

- Score (a hat-trick?) against your former club

Does upgrading your player stats actually acheive much, other than give you an something to spend money on? I don't seem to kick the ball any harder or curl it any more with full stats than when I had none and it seems the chances seem to up in difficulty as skills progress (the addition of wind, for example). Or am I imagining it?

Also, are the teams given an overall skill rating behind the scenes for calculating results?

I'm at 60 shooting (with another 20 due to boots) and I'm not sure if I'm imagining it being harder or not.

Full pace is ridiculously obvious, but shooting isn't exactly subtle. Bullets across the ground now I'm at the top level can be stuck in from 35 yards with consistency.

I meant to bring it up before - I think technique upgrading actually makes the game harder. Other than the odd free kick (not many all told), swerving the ball isn't as effective a technique as merely compensating for the wind by changing the direction of the kick. Having a high technique means the room for error during the actual kick phase (pressing the ball) is less and the game a bit harder, as anywhere off centre introduces swerve very soon.

Edit - swerving IS useful for bread and butter passing when a defender is standing near you and in the way. Still not really essential though, most of the time.

Wow thats a lot! I found when I played at City I only got about 30-50 decent chances a year the rest it made more sense to just give a teammate an assist. Surely you must be doing a lot of long range shooting to be scoring that many a season?

I just moved back to my original Conference South team Tunbridge Wells as they offered me more money than Barcelona (!) and it is easy to score as many goals as you want with them as everyone is so bad. This in turn means you end up earning a lot more money as you get a lot more goal bonuses.

I had a massive drop in form once I discovered I could scroll down on the boots menu and bought the best ones. Took me at least half a season to adjust properly. I don't think it's that much harder overall though, once you get the hang of it. And the added swerve bonus makes those tricky passes, and 40 yard screamers, a touch easier...

Beat Real Madrid 6-1 at the Bernabeau with Barca yesterday :) it sparked a capitulation where they blew a 10 point lead and Valencia ended up stealing in and winning it...

Yeah some long range shooting... I wasn't going crazy and shooting at every opportunity though. Once your team stat and general happiness is up at almost max you seem to get a lot of good chances where you just have to power it into the corner. And I've found you can't shoot every single time or your team stat suffers. Really nice balance to the game all the way through my career I've found actually. Top marks Si Read!

Edit: Also that was from 50 games.. so only just over 1 a game.. and you usually get at least 1 decent chance per game...

iOS update is out! I'm at level 4 and NRG drinks cost 11 and 19 Bucks. I hate prime numbers. Like really hate them! I don't like the pause at HT either, though I guess it's necessary if you're allowing drinks to be... drank/drunk/drinked.

It's excellent aside from that though, and my hatred of prime numbers isn't an issue really. I think I'll let my girlfriend hang around... for now.

I've found the girlfriend and sponsorship stuff to be pretty incidental, the gf is virtually always on the up with a stop in every 5 games or so and the sponsors are always on the way down even with massaging them a couple of times every 4 weeks... but I don't get anything bad, bar a bit less money if a sponsor drops me for a week when I forget about them. Transfers are weird too, I often get really low league stuff accepted which is fair enough but when Guiseley Town get accepted for a transfer request when I'm top of the Prem at Everton with 30 goals to my name I wonder what I've done to piss someone off :) This game is very probably the reason why I feel like shit this week - I'm not getting enough sleep!

Can't. Stop. Playing. Went back to Derby after some years in Spain to bring the glory back after winning the Premiership with them at 20. Was disappointed to find them back in the Championship.

What age does the career finish?

Easier to get all green now that getting a star man ups your sponsorship. If you play well you can maintain maximum relationships with the odd energy spent keeping your needy bitch girlfriend happy.

Bought this last night. Much like NSGP it completely broke my sleep pattern to the point where I ended up going to sleep at 4.30am because I couldn't bloody put it down! (running in on the Galaxy Nexus; runs very nicely, only had one crash).

I only have a few select issues/comments about things as obviously I think it's brilliant. I think the main one for me would be that playing for the 'big teams' doesn't really feel like playing for a big team, if you know what I mean. I moved to Liverpool in Season 3, and we were pretty average and finished 9th even with me having full team harmony pretty quickly. Kind of figured that might be okay as we've been pretty average in real life, so I moved to Man City who had just strolled to the league. We finished 10th; I was getting lots of chances and doing very well, but we'd just let in a shedload of goals (including 5 at home against Wolves!). I still scored and set up a lot, so I decided to move onto Real Madrid next to see how they fared with me in their team. Currently 9th after drawing with Barca but losing to Sevilla, Sporting Gijon (!) and a few others in our first 15. Once again my team harmony rating is maxed, and I am getting (and converting) plenty of chances. Not entirely sure what's going on as my stats are also now maxed out!

One other thing I was thinking for the next one; potentially have different positions, or maybe a couple of different interaction types. For example, you could have the player making a crucial defensive header from a corner by tapping the ball as it goes over a hotspot on the pitch, or have the player go on a mazy dribble by having a random shape pop up that the player has to trace with their finger quickly (the more tricky the dribble, the more complex the shape etc).

Still, it's a fantastic game and I sincerely hope you make a decent amount from it, because you deserve to.

Another idea: If the interception minigame occasionally took place in your own half with your own goal on screen, it'd mean that the attacking team could get a shot in if you messed up the interception. It'd add a bit of variety to that one, and make it feel a little bit more crucial sometimes.

Just got Altrincham promoted from the Conference via the playoffs after a string of 10.0 rated performances took us on something like a 15 game winning streak and we went from sixth to missing out on the title by two points. Gah! Then Peterborough made an offer and I was so there.

This is still a problem for me. I'm at Inter, skills nearly at max, all relationships at max, and even though I'm scoring more than a goal a game we still lose more than we win. :(

Also would like to know at what age the career mode finishes!

Cool, you got that up quick!

Is it easy to get updates out then? I read recently about XBL titles and if a dev wants to udpate something, it has to go through weeks of being given the once over by MS. I assume this is pretty much immediate if you want to get an update out then?

And how are sales going? It seems to be getting good feedback, which must help when potential buyers come across it. What are you doing to promote it? Have you got in touch with Eurogamer to see if they would consider it for App Of The Day? It certainly deserves it.
