More details!

- Dan Owsen (who?) one of the main members of the game’s localization team

- Three colors paths have been added to the Water Temple

- These paths line the walls of the temple, leading to one of the locations where Link can raise/lower the water level

- Some key doors are emphasised with a colorful border surrounding them

- After you defeat a boss, you can “relive its memory”

- Sleep in Link’s bed in Kokiri Forest to do this

- Boss battles will be timed, but play the same

- No online leaderboards

- Unlock Boss Rush mode by unlocking and defeating every boss again

- Fight through every boss, one after another

- Will be provided a power-up at the end of each fight, such as Deku Nuts or hearts

- Nintendo won’t say if there will be more rewards for those who complete Boss Rush mode

- Master Quest has now been mirrored

- In Master Quest, Link will hit with twice the damage from enemies

- Sheikah Stones can be found throughout the world

- The stones are like the Gossip Stones from the original game

- Crawl inside the Sheikah Stones to receive “visions” of the future

- Visions are pre-recorded snippets of footage

- 3-5 short clips that show what to do next

- Unlock the visions as you reach certain points in the game

- Visions may show you where to find heart pieces

:)

I like the vision stones showing you the heart pieces... in TP - the fortune teller was great. Finding where the heart pieces were could be a chore in the previous games... the fun is in working out how the hell to get them...

Yes! YES! YEEEES! I love games that have been localised by teams that include Dan, especially if he's played a leading role to some degree. Phew!

Really? Dan Owsen was ok for the time but has now been totally outclassed by newer localisers, especially at Nintendo. I was hoping that they'd have given the same people who did Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess the chance to give it a new pass.

Daniel "Dan" Owsen is a software developer, most known for his prolific work as a former employee of Nintendo of America (NOA) in the translation and localization of many Nintendo video games, including playing a large role in the translation of The Legend of Zelda series. He is also remembered for his "Ask Dan" column on Nintendo's official website.

Dan Owsen started at NOA in 1989. He started in Consumer Service during the days of the Nintendo Entertainment System, and has since moved from department to department, first going to Publications, then to Product Development, then back to Publications to work in the on-line area. Some of the more notable things he has had a chance to do at Nintendo include working with Shigeru Miyamoto's R&D team, writing screen text for Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy Zelda and recording his voice. Owsen is one of the first English voices used in any Nintendo console. His voice can be heard in Star Fox and at the beginning of Super Metroid - "The last Metroid is in captivity... the galaxy is at peace."

He now lives in Minneapolis since immigrating from his birthplace in 1985 during the USSR period

Well, the story of Twilight Princess is entirely lost in translation. If it was any good in Japanese then they certainly fuck it up.

This dude localised most of the old Zelda games and probably made up most of the story so awesome! cool that he is on board. He localised the original OOT.

When I saw the obvious effort that's gone into this conversion I was won over. But when I think about it, a port of a game we all played as kids more or less being the flagship title for a new system is getting on my tits. I can hear the tunes and sound effects in my head already. I got a Rupee. From a chest. I feel on top of the world. But, I remember that from last time. I know it's all part of the 'franchise' and that's what Zelda is but Christ. It's the same game, for full price.

I'll be buying it -_- .

It's like comfort food. This is going to be the gaming equivalent of scoffing a bag of fish and chips and a bottle of Irn Bru by myself as a reward for surviving another week in a secondary school with a catchment area the size of Scafell Pike.

I'm slightly torn over this. I mean, £30 for a handheld game that's not even new. In the face of android/iPhone gaming stealing their market you'd think that they'd drop the price a bit for this.

I'm going to buy it anyway since despite being a filthy handheld pirate most of the time Zelda is just that endeared to me.

Since posting I've sat and thought about it. Playing this in bed - in 3D - does sound quite nice to say the least.

I bought the original N64 Ocarina of Time really cheap second hand (the shop made a mistake as it was a pretty new game at the time), I got the GC version free with Wind Waker and I got it again on a free Zelda Collection Disc in exchange for Nintendo Stars.

This will be the first time I pay full price for it :) Even though I've played it to death on the N64, I'm still looking forward to playing it again as it's been more than 10 years and it'll be great on a handheld.
