Great...no game from Game and so cannot order the CD. If they are all gone by the time it does arrive then I will be really pissed off.

I'd be absolutely gutted, the whole point is celebrating the 25th anniversary.

Fuck's sake.

Rushed back upstairs to register for the CD =) Got an email saying expect it within 8 weeks. Looking forward to that!

I'm excited about experiencing this for the first time. I never got to play the original - I tend to appreciate Zelda titles ( and other older games ) how they were intended to be appreciated and viewed when they were new at that time. I feel that some of the older titles are often timeless and can hold up well against newer titles, which age quicker, and I see them for the outstanding or amazing things they brought at that point in time.

I feel like a little girl again at Christmas!

Had a go of Zelda in Game. Was blown away by the visuals. I thought they'd look nice, but the crispness and sense of depth was incredible. I have a whole week to wait until I get my 3DS. Hopefully enough time to get through Grand Prix Story on my phone.

I picked up a copy from the Oxford Street Game mid-morning (thanks to the trade-in deal) and there was someone playing a golden harp, alongside several glum staff members who has obviously been forced to wear cheery Link costumes for the occasion. I assume the baying crowds must have been and gone before my arrival - only photographers remained.

I registered for the soundtrack but had some faff putting in my address. It changed it to somewhere far from here  so had to force the check off.

Anyone else had that? I didn't have any trouble ordered my tshirt off them.

Registered for the free OST.

Anyone else who pre-ordered collector's edition from GAME not had their gold box or poster? I just got the standard edition, and no poster. FUCKING GAME.

Edit: just to be sure, this box is the standard edition right?

That Edge Time Extend is superb, and so much better than the article in Retro Gamer which, I'm sorry to say, was incredibly badly written.

I remember I only found out the effect of bombs on the Gossip Stones after I'd finished the game, maybe even on my second play through. It's that sort of game really, one of constant discovery, even when you think you've wrung it dry.

I had to turn the address checker thingy off too.

Ditto.

Although, having said that, perhaps the free gifts are being sent separately...

@Gamedigital GAME.co.uk

If you didn't recieve your pre-order bonus with your copy of Zelda today don't worry - These are still being sent. Sorry for the confusion.

Disappointed that to access master quest you have to complete it first. You'd think most of the people buying this would have already completed OoT at least once and would maybe like to try out Master quest in this version.

Mine arrived from Amazon today. Although i was wishing i'd ordered from ShopTo when it didn't arrive yesterday. :-p

Fired it up and played through the Deku Tree in my lunch break. Aaah it's lovely. :-)

Surprisingly I've never played this beyond the first few minutes before. I had an N64 but for some reason never bought it (No. Smart me just spent 70 quid on turds like Turok). I started playing during my lunch break today and it's lovely. Just finished the Deku tree dungeon. I'm not fully comfortable with the combat yet though. Having to first person with the catapult at the end while the boss was in my face was slightly annoying too.

Good fun though. Nice solid frame rate and decent 3d so far.

On the 3DS I've found games with subtle 3D effects such as rain, particles, etc coming out at you are often more impressive than a huge thing. They've done it really well in this. Just small nuances that make the environment and world feel so much more immersive.

You do know you can fire the slingshot while in L-targeting mode (3rd person), and it locks on right?

And that you don't need the slingshot if you throw a deku nut and then jump attack with the Deku stick and then quick stab 2-3 times and the boss dies within the first 6 seconds of the fight 8)
