Are Game likely to have enough of the special version to fulfil all the preorders? It says limited offer while stocks last on the website and I reckon a lot of people will want it.

I was gonna get it from ShopTo but it's only 13p cheaper than Game.

This is why I'm going to Game. Never pre-ordered from them for anything, ever, but they're the only ones with the special box and since it doesn't cost any extra (or marginally more) why not?

I would go to the shop but it'd cost £14 on the train and it wouldn't be worth it. I'll take my chances and if I don't get the special stuff then I've only lost 13p.

They had a couple of big adverts for this up in Sainsburys

There's a new TV advert (not sure if this is US or UK)

AND they've put out the re-orchestrated track from the game (it's the only one unfortunately :()

Wasn't going to get this - but might be swept up in the hype at this rate

God, I'm feeling the hype so badly for this. :3

Picked up a 3DS yesterday, pre-ordered it from gamestation, and I'm being sent out by the missus on friday morning to pick it up first thing. It's going to be her first time playing it, feeling pretty jealous about how lucky she is.

Ban request please.

:D

Never played any Zelda really, just Link to the Past and the start of Twilight Princess.

NO WAY

Seriously, it remains the best game ever made... And, by the sounds of it, this is the best version. I'm truly envious. I look forward to your impressions...

What if I don't like it? I might get murdered in my sleep.

Oh man, that is

Although I now wish they'd redone the whole soundtrack. I'm trying to imagine the Hyrule Field music with a proper orchestra. ^_^

I've been getting more and more excited and involved in the hype for this since it was first announced and spent a day trying to decide where to pre-order. I never had a chance to play the original; I played Phantom Hourglass and Twilight Princess. I must admit, I like not knowing and having it as a fresh game to play. Quite interested to see how the 3D plays into it.

See - I'm still glad I played it first the first time around.

It's still going to be absolutely magical for those of you that are first timers - but I can't help feeling you'll miss some of the impact of the innovations/moments that will by now seem trival.

e.g. stepping out onto Hyrule field for the first time - that extends all the way into the distance...and knowing you cna go in any direction. The farm on the hill...the mountain that's smoking...the castle in the fair distance...

It's genuinely the best game I've ever played.

It might be mine to.

I hope from now on that in the top 100 games of all time like Zelda Ocarina of Time is replaced with Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D. It deserves to be.

I'm not jealous at all. I'm glad I played it when it was a revolutionary title that lay down the groundwork for 3D (adventure) games and was unrivaled in its scope and execution. I'm sure newcomers will love this game and maybe I'm a bit jealous they get to explore the world all fresh and unspoilt but I doubt it'll have the same impact on them as it did on us. At the time there literally was nothing like it, and loads of stuff was in there which I thought impossible - vast stretches of land, 'open world', day/night cycles, great visual and audio effects, in-engine cutscenes :)
