So after buying this day 1 on the N64, getting the GameCube limited edition disk, buying on the WiiVC and finally buying on the 3DS I've just finished Ocarina of Time for the first time. Link between Worlds was so good I needed to continue the Zelda vibe. Not sure what stopped me completing it before, I would normally do the first few dungeons and then lose interest.

I know this opinion is about 15 years late but bloody hell what a game. Right now I still think link between worlds in the best Zelda ever made but this has now lept ahead of link to the past for me.

This game is so good. Just finished the Forest Temple. Man alive, that's a seriously good dungeon. Had me proper stumped in places and finishes with a great boss fight. There's very little I remember about this game, so this is 1998 all over again! Joy!

I haven’t played Ocarina of Time since my second play-through all the way back in 2011, but it still sticks with me as the game that really made me think the 3DS was going to be more than a Virtual Boy style disaster, and that the glass-less 3D was something wonderful (even the crappier 3D on the non-New launch model). Oh, and most importantly, I enjoyed it much more than the original version on the N64, which I always liked, but never clicked with me as being a unquestionable classic as much as Super Mario 64 did. I think it’s one of the most important games for the 3DS, and it’s certainly still my favourite single-player game for the system.

The 3DS version is great. The only thing I miss is the C button placement for playing the Ocarina and I didnt like the simplification of the Water Temple puzzle (though quick-swap for the Iron Boots was appreciated).

Really wanna play through it again; it's been a while.
