If you haven't got yourself a forwarding address, check these guys out: http://www.shopandship.com/ship/countries-rates.aspx

I used to use them all the time when I worked in the UAE, you pay a one off fee and then whenever you get anything delivered they'll forward it on for a price based on weight. Bear in mind that they do not differentiate between mail so if you get any spam sent to your forwarding address then you'll have to pay to receive it.

The shipping was pretty reasonable, only twice did I have anything sent to me in pieces and it was pretty fragile anyway (pottery). Games and whatnot are packaged well enough from online stores to survive air freight and from the US to the UAE I'd get stuff in about 4-5 days, depending.

Not that much actually. First party Nintendo games are anywhere between £30-40, while third party can drop into the £25 region. Older games can be picked up for less than a tenner, whereas on the eShop they're all about £39.99 - HOWEVER! There seems to be a change coming, Animal Crossing is going to be in the region of £35 and there's a hint that 3DS titles are going to edge closer to £30, bar a couple of exceptions (Shin Megamei Tensei IV is the most notable).

Nintendo are also experimenting with this new concept called 'sale', where they actually discount their games from time to time! Which is brilliant, they did it with Ocarina of Time for a bit in February, bringing it to £20 on the eShop and there are rumours that Wii U Premium owners will be able to link their account and get money back on their 3DS purchases. Don't quote me on that though because we're still waiting for those fucking accounts :hmm:

If you're going digital only then wait and see if the US get the AC bundle, their eShop prices will probably be marginally cheaper plus if you use a tax free state then you save more.

Take a gander at the Nintendo eShop thread, the sales get posted on there so you can look back at what Nintendo have dropped the price on.

I just showed the wife the Animal Crossing 3DS XL and she turned into a child. "I want that! I want that!" So I guess we'll have one in the household. But what do you reckon, should we get an additional game for my 3DS? I suppose the whole mayor thing is the deciding factor there.

Are you paedos actually interested in playing on that 3DS or is it a collection thing? I don't have what it takes to be seen by strangers with something that looks like that.

If you think strangers think highly of you for the games you are happy to be seen with, then I don't think anything can help you..

Sorry.

I've already got a 3DS but that's the cheapest I've seen a machine for ages.

Use code: VCUKZ100 for £119.99 ;)

I'm waiting to see if this is a misprice or not, if it is then they might notice it more with people using the discount code.

If you do a system transfer to a 3DS with a "preloaded" game like that AC one, what happens to the game?

Asking for a friend.

It gets treated like any other downloaded game. Do the system transfer, swap the SD card over and you can redownload the titles for free.

I transferred a pre-installed Mario Kart 7 to a Monster Hunter 3DS with no trouble.

Crap, just saw that bundle as well, and now it is gone.<br /><br />I have been wondering about an upgrade to the XL for a while, and for £120 with Animal Crossing, I could do it without feeling guilty about unnecessary expenditure.<br /><br />Plus, AC is a title you want downloaded and able to play at any time also.<br /><br />Any chance it will come back into stock?<br />

Didn't it list it as delivery in October? Saw the comments saying that?

Been playing Gunman Clive today, I paid no attention to it from its icon and screenshots thinking it was just some crappy old game I'd not heard of!

Really quite good platformer/shooter, and very much worth the sale price of £1.49. They need to market that game better for idiots like me.

Official site's up too: >> http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-3DS/Animal-Crossing-New-Leaf-273841.html

Good to see so many familiar faces are still in; esp. Nat the chameleon, as I skipped City Folk. The site also reveals the European names for some of the new special characters like Leif the sloth of the gardening store, and Luna the tapir who owns the Dream Suite.
