I will give those guys a call. Qisahn are absolutely excellent dude. Great trade in prices too. Only place in Singapore to do trade ins i think.

Qisahn is my favourite place to buy stuff, but Funzsquare is just across the road (just up Scott's Road) at the Far East Plaza and they have a much more interesting store. Their collection of Monster Hunter toys/cases/hats/whatever is just excellent. Just not quite as cheap as Qisahn.

This link is showing 250 quid.

One shop in Singapore is quoting me around 190 quid for a US imported one. :(

Yeah, you missed it, some people are getting theirs cancelled though so we'll see what happens.

Will check them out this weekend. Sounds awesome man. Do you ever hit the arcade @ Bugis?

I'm a fully paid-up member of the Rllmuk Old Fart's Club, married with two young kids. The only time I get to "hit the arcade" is when I make the excuse that I'll take my 4 y.o. out for the afternoon to go round the game shops and some arcades. We've not made it to the Bugis arcade yet, but often go round some of the larger ones on Orchard.

We need a Singapore thread in Off Topic or something.

Edit: Thanks Napole0n (below), yup, found it, and also Hellcock's "So I've moved to Singapore" thread from 2009 :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Only one more month til this is out!!

For convenience's sake, I've started a list with all the 'mukers who will be playing this online.

If you're interested in being added to that list, leave your details here.

The list can be found in the first post of this topic :)

Disclaimer: not sure what details will be needed, so for now I'll stick to 3DS codes.

I'm going to get this as my FREE 4th 3DS game. I've never played an Animal Crossing, but I am guessing it's a good one to have at hand, on the machine at all times?

Considering that eventually you will be playing for 10-15 minutes, but will be doing this EVERY SINGLE DAY, that seems like the smartest idea all-round. I played Wild World every day for a year, although admittedly towards the end it did become more of a "I'm going to see if I can play this every day for the year" thing than a natural event. I have a pre-order in, but also have still to choose my freebie. Were the codes available immediately, I wouldn't be hesitating, but since they are only being promised "sometime after the game is available in stores" then I find the potential wait unbearable. It is tempting to play the cartridge until the freebie code becomes available, use the data transfer, and sell the cart on afterwards, though.

Y'know what's a nice touch when it comes to AC's localization? The references the translators tend to put in the game when it comes to naming the different characters that populate the game world. Eg. there's a lion character named Elvis (because a lion is the "king" of the jungle); there's a pig named Truffles (since pigs are used to root out truffles) etc...

One of the new koala's in New Leaf is called Rocky. Which had me stumped, until I found this:

I'll be!

Add me :D

2637-9725-3186

And me! 3DS: 2509-1659-7969

Added both. Me: 3566 - 1689 - 8295 (I see Epcotman has already added me, thx).

Guys! I'm buying a used 3ds for this very game, it's in the post as I speak.

Will that Ds have it's unique friend code? Or do I format and make another please. Thanks

Start afresh and format.

I'm in

2664 - 2201 - 3962

People above added

@Hello Goaty: Formatting will give you a whole new code. Chances are this has already been done. I bought a used 3DS for my son that has never even been online, and has less than 3 hours use according to the activity log!

Added all on this page, can't wait and see what this will be like with a huge network of other AC towns to go to.

Although I've still got about 10 names of shame that haven't registered me back the bastards. A few of them are the more well known forumites, obviously up in their ivory towers :blah:

;)
