Good luck jcafarley in your disaster recovery efforts. Hope it doesn't take you much time to rebuild.

I imagined all of his villagers in a 'Wreck it Ralph!' type scenario where they all start panicking at the little one hovering over the deletion interface - K.K. Slider playing guitar in the square, Isabelle trying to calm down the remaining townsfolk, Reseti a mixture of emotions spreading over frustration, confusion, and then finally panic. A single train bee-lining it out of there wifi/friend connection be damned!... and then pop! No more.

Pretty grim stuff, all things considered.

Shame Wii U didn't get a proper one, but it's pretty apparent how much more fitting the series is on a handheld.

If I get a Everdrive 64, I'll definitely want to play a english patch of the original someday.

Please could someone copy/paste this story please, BT broadband is having problems. Thanks.

"Nintendo is bringing amiibo support to Animal Crossing: New Leaf almost four years after the game's original release in Japan.

The update - which is due in the Autumn - will allow users with a New 3DS or NFC Reader to use their amiibo figures and amiibo cards in the game. Cards will make villagers arrive in your town but it isn't currently known what scanning amiibo figures will do.

Nintendo has also confirmed that figures related to other Nintendo franchises can also be scanned, granting the player special costumes and furniture for use in-game.

The Japanese giant is currently working on an Animal Crossing mobile game which could potentially see some form of connectivity with New Leaf. Even if it doesn't, a timely update for the 3DS version will surely drive interest in the mobile release."

Like a complete areshole, I check the game every day to stop the little bastards moving out. In fact I don't use my 3DS anymore, so it is left constantly on with this game running just to satisfy my annoying ocd. Just checked the activity log and discovered it must stop at 9999.00 total hours played!

That makes me wonder if the mobile game - which is also landing in August - will be a pretty straight port. This might bring Amiibo to mobile phones with NFC for the first time.

It's been about six months since my half an hour a week of 3DS use switched from Animal Crossing to Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, so I might risk going back. Playing that often meant I didn't speak to every animal frequently enough to prevent my favourites leaving or avoid them having a strop about being ignored, so it won't be too much worse than usual!
