So, I was bombing around the animal crossing track in mario kart yesterday () and it got me thinking: I'd kinda like switch animal crossing to be third person rather than top down. Everything could be kept the same, gameplay wise, but it'd make the village feel much more alive, make exploration more fun and so on.

This.

If we're going full wishful thinking then I'd want it BoTW style; large land mass with varied environments. Make it so it's not so flat with hills and the like. And just rip-off Link's climbing ability and glider while you're at it.

Basically just BoTW but with the enemies and their camps replaced by friendly animal villagers.

How on earth did you make literally billions of bells?

Well when I did buy turnips, I always bought a lot and then hope for a big price (at my town, or a Rllmuk friend) to sell, for a big profit. Plus I'm always digging up the fossils everyday, and sell them for some Bells. Or get the animals to buy your fossils at Retail, you can sell the big fossils for 9,999 each.

MrDo is the Animal Crossing king. Same on Wild World, if I remember rightly.

I really miss this. A bodged 3DS>n3DS transfer saw all my saves disappear, and I can't bear the thought of starting all over again. I had some great stuff!

Do it!

It was the best part of my recent holiday, crawling back under the comfy Crossing duvet.  It really doesn't take long to get the wheels turning again...get that Perfect Pear gravy train up and running.

Yeah, bloody loved this game. Only AC since the GameCube one to trigger all of my special fun-receptive brain cells. Remember staying up to download it from the eShop to download it on launch, and played it every evening with my girlfriend playing on her own 3DS. Went out specially to get StreetPasses in order to get new furniture from other users' villages. Have rarely had such an engrossing or rewarding game experience.
