The details of how this will work are still being thrashed out, but in the meantime please add your name if you fancy dipping your toe into the wild, exciting, highfalutin life of BAP management :)

Anyone is welcomed to give it a stab, assuming you are in the league of course!

How it works...

Dealing with manager changes

When a manager leaves a team at the end of a season, the managerial waiting list is referred to and if there is a player from the manager-less club in the top 3, they are given the role. If there isn't a player from the team in the top 3, the first name on the list gets the role.

If a team loses a manager mid-season, the club are to nominate a caretaker until the end of the season, at which point the same process as if the manager left at the end of the season is applied.

If the prospective manager refuses the role, he is placed to the end of the waiting list and the next name on the list approached.

Compensaton

If a player moves from one team to another to become manager the losing team will be compensated for their loss. This is set at 50% of the rank value (ie 500k for bronze, 1m for silver, 1.5m for gold) to be transferred from the gaining team's funds.

Manager contracts

When starting the manager role, players are given a contract for 4 seasons.

If they finish in 6th place for 2 of those seasons in a row, they are subject to an anonymous vote of confidence from their team. A majority voting for change will result in the manager getting the boot, otherwise they get to see out their 4 season contract.

After their contract is fulfilled they are removed from the post and a new manager assigned.

If there isn't anyone on the list they are given the option of a season extension to their contract.

For the initial introduction of this change, all existing managers will start with a new 4 season contract.

Just an early heads up that I'll be retiring from BAP management at the end of this season and passing the United reigns over to Steely.

It's been a really enjoyable 9 seasons in charge of the mighty United but it's time for big changes and Steely is the one to bring the good times back again.

I'll leave the door of the office on the latch and the keys on the table and wish you all the luck in the world Steely for season 16.

We will be puttting all our efforts into derailing the Athletic charge for the title this season but after that, it'll be Steely's ship to sail

Having played for United in every season since the BAP leagues inception I'd like to point out that this has not been due to my BAP prowess but moreso the fact that as manager you have to keep yourself (trust me, I questioned this choice a few times during the process)

Athletic - Gerry Helmet - 1 of 4

City - Tomox - 3 of 4

Rovers - Sith - 3 of 4

Town - Pompey - 3 of 4

United - Steely - 2 of 4

Wanderers - Mackenie 3 of 4
