BAP Predictions - Season 15

Recommended Posts

Following on from past few seasons formula, we want:

- 6 teams in finishing order

- Golden boot winner

- The club/individuals involved in the first 'gate' of the season

...

I'll start:

1. Athletic - tris "5-in-a-row" 3d hasn't got space for runners up medals. Plus they're England. England always win. In BAP.

2. Town - Self declared "beast squad" will make a Messi of it in the final weeks.

3. Wanderers - Two time champs to become chumps. God verdomme.

4. United - Like French Fancies we've only really got a couple anybody likes.

5. City - Reborn (again). They'll make a lot of noise but it's one step at a time.

6. Rovers - The odds are 1-6 that they'll end up here. The bookies are rarely wrong.

Golden Boot: Rooney controlled by tris3d

Gate: Town v Athletic / Week 3 / Timmo is accused of using Legacy defending after keeping Outsider in his pocket. Steering group vote 1-6 to kick Timmo out of BAP for good.

1. Athletic - No one will be able to stop the attacking trio of Tris, Outsider and Jamin.

2. Utd - Very strong going forward but the French defence could let them down at the back.

3. Wanderers - Signing Hannay will prevent them from winning 3 in a row.

4. Town - Look strong on paper but the Argie's defenders and goalkeeper could cost them a lot of points.

5. City - Would have had us a lot higher up the league but then they went and re signed me so it could be another hard season for us. At least we have Tobes for the laughs though.

6. Rovers To be honest while I have them finishing bottom that strong midfield they now have could provide the ammunition for Supercat so you never know they could finish a lot higher.

Golden Boot - Sean, someone has to score us some goals and I think the other teams goals will be more evenly spread out.

1st Gate. Mackenie somehow turns Hannay into a top player and we expect its down to foul play.

1 - Athletic - The holy trinity is back together, scary times ahead.

2 - Town - Pompey has assembled an awesome squad, but the dogey Argie defense will give Timmo his usual runners up medal.

3 - City - Maybe a ambitious prediction, but improvement needed on the last 4 seasons at City.

4 - United - Another a season of disappointment for Wincho & co.

5 - Wanderers - The loss of Rogue and Tris will hurt, a lot.

6 - Rovers - Someone has to prop up the league. Sith has made some solid signings, but might not be enough.

Golden boot - Tris & Sean on 17 each.

Gate - Rovers, who else?

1 - Town - We've traded the luck of the Irish for pure, attacking force. We don't need defenders.

2 - Athletic - Tris, Jamin and Outsider are back on the same page, but will it yield the same results as it did in FIFA 11?

3 - Wanderers - Despite losing both Rogue and Tris, I think they'll be pushing for a top finish.

4 - United - Hard to call really, on paper, they're a quality side. If it clicks, then they can go from 4th to 1st quite easily. Will FIFA 12 be the platform for United's ascendency?

5 - Rovers - Sith has made a couple astute signings, but losing Ryanski will hurt, I still think they'll finish above City.

6 - City - Sorry City guys, despite being on Swindon territory, it might not be enought to lift them off the bottom.

Top scorer: Smithstock or Joe

Gate: None.

1 - Athletic - Very strong team liked what i saw after the auction yesterday

2 - Town-Strong team will push Athletic all the way

3 - United - Gotta finish somewhere

4 - Wanderers - Lost Tris, no other reason needed :)

5 - City- The loss of Sean early on will hurt, a lot.

6 - Rovers - Try as Sith might, he never seems to get people to turn up on thursdays, if he can then could be further up

Golden boot - Tris or Outsider

Gate - Sean not getting what he wants and quitting because "he cant connect to servers", then putting his name on the waiting list within 10 minutes

1) RPL Athletic - Tris, Outisder and Jamin + 6 days of training a week headed by SaintM + drills and situps before bedtime = title.

2) RPL Town - Timmo.

3) RPL Wanderers - With Tris and Rogue Soul gone the nucleus of Wanderers has been damaged. They will always be a handful though and Mackenie looks a handy FIFA 12 player.

4) RPL United - Pants to curb some of the bile and inject some fun back into United, but you don't win matches having fun. This is serious business.

5) RPL City - With Tomox taking the reigns we can expect improvement, but not enough to challenge.

6) RPL Rovers - Sith has his work cut out to keep his team playing well. Will upset others at times but not consistently.

Top Scorer - Tris

Gate - Red cards and penalties will multiply ten-fold this season. Expect nathan to be at the centre of an inquest.

1. - United - Really strong looking squad and I think they will bounce back.

2. - Town - Obviously.

3. - Athletic - Again, good squad and could easily finish higher.

4. - City - Tomox has done really well and City look a force.

5. - Wanderers - I think they might drop down a few places this season after losing a few players.

6. - Rovers - Sorry boys, had to put someone here.

1 - Athletic. The Tri-force plus England. Ouch

2 - United. They have Pants McSkill. But they also have Manic, hence only second.

3 - Wanderers. Mackenie's too good a manger to let them drop further.

4 - City. A surprisingly strong squad will see a resurgence

5 - Town. No Tobes and the Argies will see them leak goals

6 - Rovers. But not by much.

Top Scorer - Tris. 2nd place: Pompey/Wincho/Ricky dead heat.

Gate: 'Patience of a Saint'M loses it with Nathan after Nathpalm tackles his own player for some bizarre reason.

1 - United - Someone has to vote for us plus FIFA 12 likes my connection which means a stable backline with Mitch is back on ;)

2- Athletic - Crazy good forwards with Outsider, Tris and Jamin

3 - Town - Always solid, have Timmo ;)

4 - Wanderers - Loss of Tris may be a major blow

5 - City - This HAS to be the season they get off the bottom!

6 - Rovers - Brazil are always a bit hit and miss. Losing Ryanski is a blow as he looked good last season

Top scorer - Outsider, maybe Wincho if Benzema starts firing!

Gate - Give me until the first round of fixtures are played!

1. Athletic - The Tri-force

2. Town - "Gentlemen always come second" - Timmo

3. United - I don't think FIFA 11 played to united's strengths, FIFA 12 offers more freedom to attackers and they will thrive.

4. Wanders - They will be pushing all season but I think the loss of key members will hold them back, still expect to be within a few points of the top

5. City - The only way is up

6. Rovers - only because I put city in 5th

So, shall we just knock it on the head, give us the trophy now and do team selection again next week? No? Ah.

1. Athletic - So many people saying it, it must be true

2. Town - LJ will find a way to glitch pens, pushing Town towards the top but sacrificing his manager's soul.

3. Wanderers - Strong in the middle, but suspect up front.

4. United - A strong squad with massive names? Bound to stay fourth.

5. Rovers - I was one of the few that had Rovers above City last season and I'll stick with that again.

6. City - It's in their DNA. You can't escape your destiny.

Golden Boot: Outsider or Tris or both

Gate: Not Nathan. He's gonna keep his head down and his nose clean. Let's say it's Baring.. he'll be a shadow of his former self, once anonymous negs go out the window ;)
