Well I am loving it.It is reminiscent of Jet Force Gemini and that can only be a good thing in my opinion.

The Cube version is good enough for me and I am gagging to play it more.

Going to have to convince the girlfriend to have a go on the multiplayer with her for a good laugh B)

It's brilliant, I reckon. And it's shamelessly stolen more from other games - in a good way - than any other game I've played for a long time. Long live the magpies, especially if it means that every game has such sensible controls.

But it's too easy on easy and too frustrating on normal. And it's overlong by half; seems like they put everything that they thought of in there, instead of showing a bit of discipline and retaining the best 50% of their ideas and no more.

Play normally deliver in 2-3 working days - but I think their Sale has swamped them a bit as my copy took a week to arrive.

Must say that I hate quitting games and so I'm persisting with this - but everytime I find something I love I find 2 things I hate.

Totally agree with the 'too many ideas in one game' thing and it's definately' old skool' in the "replay a bit over and over til you memorise it" department - I'm playing (the original) Maximo at the moment too and that has less mandatory-replay factor (really!)

It's so obvious the developers have played Halo and yet they seem to have missed (or are just not capable of engendering their game with) the sheer genius of it's mood, atmosphere, pacing and skill levels - they just stole it's obvious ideas instead (along with those of Quake, JFG and 20 other games!)...

Skill Level - ah yes, 'Normal' is hard - Hard is silly and Easy is - well - stupidly easy...

Bugs continue to annoy too - getting stuck in scenery - knocked through walls into nowhere etc. etc. That said, I have the PS2 version and I'm begining to suspect the XBOX is where it may be 'at'?

p.p.s. I stongly suspect that this game started life as an FPS and was changed to 3rd person late in the development process.

I make this assumption simply because the camera lingers so close behind you character as to often obscure your objective - you can't even see your feet sometimes!

Also - the view angle is VERY restrictive which makes open-air firefights a horror story - someone can stand next to you a shoot at you and you can't see em!

FFS!

I'm also finding this. It's a problem I have with Zelda Wind Waker too on occasion. I find myself physically craning my neck or sort of leaning back from the screen (yeah, I know it won't make any difference but it's not a concious thing!). I've nailed this down to the camera being in too close to the character and I'm trying to get a wider view of events. Pain in the neck it is.

I love this game, can't get enough of it. Best weapons for me would have to be the tether gun and recruiter grenades.

I'd love to think they'll make a sequel but it probably hasn't sold well enough for them to bother. If this is the case it's a crying shame.

Mine turned up from Play.com today. Had a quick go at lunchtime and am impressed by the visuals and sound so far. I'll reserve judgement until late tonight.

It gets a lot better as you go on, just in case you're not too impressed by the early levels (although I think the whole thing is ace...).

YupTrade in the PS2 version for the Xbox one, right now for better visuals (which are VERY noticeable), controls and sound.

Put it on Easy, stick with it past the Zombiebot boss and hopefully it'll grow on you.

Really, it's no Halo, but it's the best shooter (3rd or 1st person) I've played since.

It isn't any where near as hard as people make out. You will get stuck but there's nearly always a relatively easy way out. It's challanging but never unfair. The difficulty forces you to think more about it.

I reckon it's a perfect difficulty level on easy, certainly for me anyway.

I prefer a game that allows me to progress without too much trouble, otherwise I just get wound up and stop playing. That said, once I've finished it on easy I might go back and try on a harder setting.

Got this today, decided to start playing on normal and Im somewhere on the zombie level. Enjoyed every moment so far esspecially the huge amounts of destruction  Its a shame theres no co-op mode but other than that it seems to be a top notch game, I hear its £20 in game.

Oh yeah the tearing is pretty bad but does'nt really get in the way, I'd recommend this to anyone lusting after some Halo esque gameplay.

Should have bought an advanced scart lead as well

I haven't found a really satisfying way to kill them yet or what is the best weapon. The scatter gun is pretty good but you need to be close, plus it needs reloading often. They come at you very quickly so explosives are a no no, and the rest are pretty weedy. I've just destroyed the zombie-king (finally!) and those zombie bots that appeared during the big fight were a pain in the backside. I only succeeded because they both got trapped in one of the holes.

An amazing game, by the way, it's ridculously good fun. £15? Bargain of the year.

The scatter gun is very effecitve against them, especially if they're upgraded. The rivet gun (ugrade 2) can be handy. So is the machine gun up close. What I generally do it use rockets or grenades when they're far enough away, then as they get closer unleash the scatter gun or machine gun. If you are low on ammo then yes they are a bit of a nightmare.
