Their operations are in Ireland but the stock is probably in the UK. They sent me an email but with no tracking no despite me choosing express delievery. Phoned them but it goes straight to answerphone, so sent them an email instead. Pretty shoddy. I'm off today but I'd prefer to know if it's actually going to come.

Seems they send by courier, so I'm assuming the express option will be delivered today, with the standard option arriving tomorrow

In their help section express is actually listed as 1-2 days.

OK, I think I'm about as far in as when I stopped last time, just as the clickers and other infected get introduced. I've found it a bit easier so far, but I reckon I've just run past all the encounters that caused me trouble last time. Quite a few runners and a clicker or two here. Anyone got any combat tips for me?

Learn to preserve your melee weapons. If you need to kill an enemy hand-to-hand, try to creep up on them first for the silent takedown. Alternatively, throwing a brick or bottle at a human, runner or clicker will stun the enemy, allowing you to take them out with one hit from a melee weapon. Never use a melee weapon on its own if you can avoid it; it takes several hits and valuable time to kill a standard enemy, and those pipes and bits of wood can be hard to find at higher difficulty levels.

Try to avoid using shivs to kill enemies; they can be used to open locked doors, where they are much more useful. Do not build medikits in favour of molotov cocktails. You can kill a load of enemies by throwing a brick or bottle to lure them into an area, before setting light to them all with a flaming bottle of death.

Clickers can not see you if you move carefully, so take out all runners first if there is a combination of them in an area.

Can anyone who's played the PS4 version confirm whether the cutscenes are now rendered realtime in-engine, or are they videos like the PS3 one? I'm guessing the latter considering the mandatory 50gb install.

Eurogamer Digital Foundry said they were still fmv, but fmv which has been recoded at 60fps..

I sent an email to Gamespot earlier today about the overcharge, and got a reply saying that my game is shipping today and that they have refunded me the £20 overcharge.

Did you get the money? I've had nothing yet despite the game being dispatched yesterday at some point.

Hmm, whilst I'm sure they will look fabulous and of course they help mask loading times, I'd hoped that they could manage them realtime on a more powerful machine. Hopefully this time they use exactly the same models in the game as in the FMV. It's the one aspect of Naughty Dog's games that I find a little unsatisfying. It's a very, very minor complaint though.

Bricks are a really solid melee weapon, and are plentiful too - much more so than 2x4s and pipes. They're particularly good for taking out clickers, as it means you don't have to use up a shiv.

Mine arrived today as well, but it's not the day 1 edition. I'm not too annoyed as I had no intention of using the codes anyway, but it's pretty ridiculous to buy a game on day 1 and not get the day 1 edition.

Does it kill them? Like if you creep up and batter them with a brick? I didn't know that. Might have made the game a bit easier in places.

Yeah, as long as you're quick enough spamming the square button to get the x3 hits needed, they should not have time to retaliate and grab you.

Of course you have to sneak up behind them and make sure they haven't sussed you out yet/ or gone into alert mode.
